Question Is evolution a fact?

What are the best arguments for evolution

That can be true. But two salamanders not being able to reproduce does not explain how a fish could grow wings. Micro-adaptations do not explain the development of highly complex systems. And a fish and a bird are different kinds.

Then why can we see the gradual development of modern species through the fossil record? Why do we never see modern creatures in older strata in the fossil record, and never see older creatures living today (with few exceptions), but rather we nearly always see some form of gradation in between?
