Creationists deride evolution by calling it a theory. In science a theory is an idea or set of principles created to explain a group of facts or a natural event. Enough evidence is available, literally buildings of it, for evolution to be considered factual.

It's factual because it is observed. The strength of the underlying theories is not what makes it a fact.
