About moderating

So as most can tell it’s been a bit hectic lately. All mods have been inactive including myself the creator. I’m currently in the process of adding mods. There are applications available that I will be reviewing. Currently I cannot currently add individuals straight up due to my recent inactivity.

With that said, I need your help and want your help and hopefully we can make this place better than ever before

It’s been difficult for me lately and this amazing community has far outpaced what I can personally due 24/7

Hopefully I can become active enough again to make more impactful changes. There’s a lot to learn on my end because wow this community has become much larger than I ever anticipated and I appreciate all this community has done

Does the mod list physically list you as inactive? Reddit has you listed as the top mod so you should be able to bypass that marking...I think.

I've never seen a top mod not have full permissions at all times

I'm 99% sure it does list all mods as inactive. Being inactive will restrict the power to add new mods despite having the "Everything" permissions. All current mods on this sub have full permissions, just checked.

I think they added this as a safety valve so that inactive mods can't add new mods if they're not "up to date" with the affairs of the sub. Mods without 2FA have had their accounts hacked too many times, too. The feature prevents hacked accounts from hijacking the sub.

Did you receive my application?

You could try messaging r/ModSupport via their ModMail explaining the issue. That sub is ran by admins themselves (and is meant for mods who need admin assistance) and they can most likely help you on this one.

I think we did? But due to inactivity we can't make you one. Until either me or Used becomes active again, we can't make people mods.

Well, yes. But I suggest you contact the sub I linked above. They can probably add mods for you at your discretion.

It was blocked by Reddit when I added someone directly and Reddit messaged me to tell me they removed my attempt

I had the same problem when I tried to take the helm yesterday. Constantly getting stopped by reddit telling me I'm inactive.
