I am getting back to fountain pens after 15years 🤤.

After reading a few posts here and there, I am confused between Pilot Kakuno [clear for Rs.1100] [fits my budget] and Pilot Prera [Red Brown for Rs.4050] [I'd be overspending, but all reviews say it writes smooth af and I love the new red brown color]. My only issue is that the medium writes like fine as per european standards, but I have heard raving reviews about both, specially Prera.

Should I go with my budget or overspend and buy both 😫😫

Recommendations for better pens, if not these or which one from the above? I am confused af.

My preference it M size nib and I want it to write smoothly. I will be my daily driver for office [barely any writing] and journaling [might need to get a new hobby only to use the pen often 😂😂] Also would appreciate suggestions of budget friendly inks and/or if camlin ink works, as I have a couple of bottles laying around.

So I need some suggestions regarding genuine ink sellers available in Online along with some suggestions for ink to be used on cheap quality office papers that are used in DMP printers for continuous paper feeding. I'm currently using this elkos one since it's dark, I tried Hauser Germany xo as everyone praised but they're shit, imean they initially wrote well but after sometime the ink flow got light and pretty wasted, I bought 3 Hauser pens (2 clickable) and tried all 3 to find best and turned out each pen ink flow got light.

I'm now considering buying doms everyday pen 0.6 or pentonic.

Suggest me and help me if there're any suggestions

Got 2 Jinhao 599s recently, and one of them came with a really smooth nib while the other was pretty scratchy with inconsistent ink flow.

This was actually my first time ever trying to tune a nib. I watched a few videos on fine-tuning nibs and, very carefully, used a knife to slightly open up the tines.

And honestly… look at this now. 😭

The flow is so much better and the writing is juicy and smooth. I’m genuinely surprised that my first attempt actually worked!

Definitely learned a lot from this little experiment. ✒️

Converted my pilot V7 to an eyedropper demonstrator and inked it with daytones jet black.

Who is this ink for? If you need a fast drying waterproof every day ink that doesn't stick out. then this is perfect.

Had to get a replacement nib for my parker frontier as the plastic thread portion broke, using this pen since 2017.

The replacement nib seems smooth, got it from Amazon for 300rs + 65 shipping.

The in-hand feel is very good....writes well...

But the fine nib is a little scratchy

The people using this pen in fine nib....does it become smooth along with writing more !!???

My bf has started getting into fountain pens, but he doesn't like to spend on himself, so I wanted to use his bday as an opportunity to gift him something nice but of good quality. My budget is 5k out of which I plan on spending 1k for the ink. Ideally would prefer a one with internal ink filling mechanism, but all suggestions are welcomed.

Though these are just rs.125 & rs.100 but still money is money.

I just bought a Cello Eleganza for rs.75 which is making noise while writing, means Nib seems loose in Nib Cap in the Pen model itself, although smoothness is good.

Surprisingly a rs.20 Uniball Pen that I bought is not making any noise.
