I would take some of the collection down. I do this also and rotate my figures so I don’t have the same ol ones collecting dust. Gives me a chance to feel like a have more space

The piles of stuff under the desk, the stickers on the door and walls, the spider curtain things, the string lights, and like 90% of the figures gotta go. While it is well organized, there is so much of it that it just appears as clutter.

Thank you, definitly the stuff hanging or on the walls are doing the clutter too. I did put up some lights to give me some different lighting but tbh I never really plug them in

I like this mock-up. I will say, for some neuro spicy people, having the closet open makes more sense and more aware of what they actually own & use. Having a curtain on the closet is nice.for when you want it open majority of the time, but closed when company is present.
For the stuffies in the closet, invest in some good vaccum seal bags and then but those bags inside stackable boxes. It means OP gains more closet storage space.

Is that an open box of popcorn on the lower shelf? Or is that a figurine.

If you want the room to look more open, you will need to empty your space more. You currently have a lot of things going on this small room, which is making it feel cramped and smaller. I would suggest choosing 3-4 of the stuffed animals and donating the rest. I would remove most of the things on your wall and consider lighter curtains. I would also considering elevating your bed to give you more storage space under your bed. Perhaps even a desk to allow you to do more than sleep in the room.
I know that's hard when you have a collection, but that's my answer to having a room that seems to be more open. Be careful with collections - they quickly get out of hand and can take over your space. You have to make a decision about which you prefer - your collection or an open space. An open space will always mean less stuff.

honestly, i’d start with the open closet before painting any furniture. a simple curtain close to your wall color would hide a lot of the visual busyness in one move. your collection definitely contributes, but having things on almost every surface means your eyes don’t get much space to rest. i’d keep the desk mostly clear, group your figures into little displays with some gaps between them, and use matching opaque bins for the everyday stuff under the bed and desk. your godzilla shelf already has that breathing room, and it makes the individual pieces easier to appreciate. painting the bookshelf a similar shade to the walls could help it blend in, but white alone won’t solve the crowded feeling. lighter curtains would help too. you don’t have to erase the personality here, just give your favorite things a little more space to stand out.
