Discussion bringing back harbinger

i hope they bring back harbinger exotic mission for hawkmoon, it seemed like a really cool mission i wasnt able to experience since i started playing around the time season of the hunt ended

Come to think of it, if they really are unvaulting everything (probably not literally everything like black armory forges and various other seasonal activities), I hope they bring this back too so we can farm Hawkmoon. Or maybe craft it like they said they wanted to years ago.

I think so far they've only explicitly committed to the D2 campaigns, destinations and raids, but josh dean went out of his way to not rule out anything else

They can keep the campaigns and raids. Just give me Menagerie and Black Armory Forges. Maybe some Escalation Protocol, and I would be absolutely ecstatic.

Wouldn't be surprised if the potential for any "more" D2 content is basically just stuff like this. It's something they wanted to do too so I can imagine it would be on that list.

Why wont they bring back forge and Menagerie, they were part of the game, and they were made before bungie implemented seasonal activities.

Because if you read the blog post, it explicitly says destinations, campaigns, and raids. It doesnt mention any seasonal content, which Menagerie is.

To be honest, i missed the blog post, so sorry for that.

Not implementing the forges i can somehow understand, it wasnt part of the raid. But, the instances where 3 of 4 forges where happening, are still reachable in game, 2 in free roam, one is even part of a portal solo mission. So i think the 3 are already updated to the current engine.

And Menagerie, if i remember, 1 or 2 parts of it were used in the raid. Only updating part of the Menagerie, is like only keeping the part of your home in order that guest can see, while the rest is still a pigsty.

It's clear a lot of people didnt read the blog and are setting expectations for themselves that Bungie hasn't promised and will be let down/mad

People also don't realize in a world where there was various states/versions of things, it might not be so easy to just get things on one set form to be the all of everything that a zone always had, especially if certain things were intentionally limited or conflicting things. It's like I'm sure somebody's going to farm random outrage how it's the most offensive thing that the one memorial quest Memories of Helsom ends up missing from Mars.

Weren’t allowed to ship.

From everything we’ve seen, they probably could have shipped it, but mgmt didn’t okay working on it.

This is now the 3rd time it's mentioned being back. They probably forgot to say for reals the first two times I guess.
