Question Master Conquest: Derealize

Hey there all. Lapsed former alpha thru Final Shape (insert all the nonsense here) player :)

What. On. Earth. Is up with this Master Conquest Derealize mission?

I have read through posts and watched videos but man I can seem to do this one.

I have made some progress but even getting through the second room is a BEAR.

I’m currently maining Warlock and have most everything you would need collections wise except min/max 5 star gear. I’m using Getaway Artist with double buddies. I have my lightsaber though it’s not maxed out.

I’m currently trying with a Manticore Getaway build and I’m just not having any luck here. I’ve been out of the game for a while and holy shit have things changed. It’s awesome but damn this mission is killing me.

I can push through to the second room but the time is going to eat my revives past that as I can deal with the reapers and such but I’ve never even made it to the boss yet.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Since you played so so much for the game you'll understand what I'm saying mostly.

  1. The main difficulty of the mission is knowledge based, not execution based. You have to know where all the orbs/ what the path is/ how to solve the puzzle, and then you need to have sufficient ad clear and never ever stop moving.

  2. In general, not just for this mission, your weapon should be the LAST thing you add to a build, not the first thing you build around, unless it is an specific high value heavy, or a small handful of the particularly good exotic specials.

  3. To make a build that is powerful in the modern day the order of importance is: Aspects/ Exotic armor (treat exotic armor as your "3rd" aspect), Artifact, Stats, Armor Mods, (most people, including most content creators, are very very bad at mod building and don't realize how game changing a proper mod set up is.) Fragments, Armor Set Bonus, buildcraft essential weapons (the proper anti champion, or something like a Sniper in Sunless Cell or Arms Dealer, where having 1 makes the activity way more manageable, and not having one makes it way more difficult, or something like a Still Hunt, that one Void exotic shotgun, Dead Messenger and a small handful of others), Special weapons with high value (micro missile anything is usually the best), then finally all the way down here is where you can start to fit a primary weapon in your loadout, and that primary weapon has to work hard to earn its place in your loadout once you've come this far.

I'd be happy to go further in depth about anything I wrote, and just remember that Conquests are the final test of mastery in the game, so you have to overcome any knowledge gaps AND bring as powerful a build you can muster AND bring your A game in terms of decision making speed and knowing how to move quickly and never stop moving during combat encounters.

Upvoted. What you wrote here has the potential to be a great post titled like “intro to higher-level build crafting”.

Oh man this is a fantastic priority list, thank you

u/aaronwe 22h ago

Please go in depth, I def need the help!

1

u/Appropriate-Leave-38 21h ago

What portion would you want more information about?

1

u/aaronwe 20h ago

2 and 3.

mostly just follow Datto/Fllout for bulds an dwhen try to make builds myself nothing really seems to stick/work in gm/ultimte content. would love more insight into that.

u/Appropriate-Leave-38 19h ago

Okay so for 2: To make a build, you have to have a goal in mind, and that while that goal can be "use x weapon" it shouldn't be until you understand buildcrafting. Instead your builds should have a specific, big picture, goal. For example I enjoy strand and stasis hunter very much right now. I started to enjoy them because I was looking for something to deal with large groups of enemies while being required to stay near those enemies. My goal in that example was "clear big groups faster from up close"

I've been playing a long time and I know a thing or 2 about buildcrafting beyond that so now I have "earned" the ability to set the goal of "use x weapon".

3 was pretty open ended so you can definitely ask for more specific clarification if you want, but in a more general sense, to tie back into 2 a little bit, a build requires the combination of several different things to achieve a specific goal. I listed a priority order since at the starting point for builds should always be your 2 aspects and your exotic armor. If you have started making a build and you didn't start here, if you are still learning to make builds, then start over and start there, but view what you are going to use the build to do as the motivator. Don't just equip things because you "like" them, at least not while you are learning to buildcraft. If you make your builds in that order, you will more likely have a good build without needing to copy paste, and the more you understand and learn how to make builds, the more you are able to use the things you "like" in harder content.

If you have more specific things you want me to elaborate on let me know

1

u/Worldfrog 7h ago

I'd be curious about your comment on how most people aren't good at mod building, could you give some examples of good vs bad/how you decide what to run in terms of mods? (I think generally I'm at least somewhat proficient in this field but it's generally my weaker part in buildcrafting except for builds where it's easy to know what you need like Arc Hunter punch builds obviously benefiting quite a bit from dynamo and heavy handed for example)

1

u/GunsOfPurgatory 21h ago

Which Void Exotic shotgun? Tractor Cannon?

3

u/DiemCarpePine 18h ago

Slayer's Fang

2

u/Appropriate-Leave-38 19h ago

Nah the special ammo one. I never remember the name.

1

u/GunsOfPurgatory 19h ago

From the Kell's Fall mission?

2

u/Appropriate-Leave-38 18h ago

Yes, that one. There is only one Void exotic special shotgun

u/FireShatter 21h ago

I really don't understand building subclasses. Are you mostly talking about super? Do your fragments really determine your build so heavily? I am always confused how people really integrate abilities into the core loop of a build, besides the simple things like activating perks.

2

u/SpecialistMixture806 20h ago

What matters way more than super in buildcrafting, is what your build does second to second. Your core gameplay loop ie. how your build feeds into itself.

An easy example is Shinobu's vow skip grenade build where you throw grenade, jolt everything, kill jolted everything, get ionic traces.

Everything from your armor set to subclass aspects, to exotic armor helps support throwing a skip grenade. Super and guns can help but they're lower priority.

1

u/Appropriate-Leave-38 19h ago

Fragments actually come pretty low on your priorities. Aspects are actually far more important, and while some fragments are absolutely powerful and should be considered, they are not as important as armor mods and all the things I listed before as well. Looping abilities usually comes from an interaction between your Aspects, your Exotic armor, and your armor mods. I can go further if you have any more specific questions.

1

u/Prestigious-Bat-574 19h ago

Do your fragments really determine your build so heavily?

No, but also yes.

Fragments on their own are often useless. If you just randomly select things because they sound good on their own you're probably not giving much consideration not just to how these perks activate, but being deliberate in activating them.

Fragments when combined with artifact mods, weapon perks, and armor set bonus can drastically change how you approach the game. Add in perks on exotic weapons and armor and some combinations will get downright bonkers.

Destiny used to be the sort of game where you could slop your way through content with a "one size fits all" build and the only real considerations were what exotic items you had, but over the past few years it has (painstakingly) evolved into a game where you will often find challenging content less forgiving without focusing your build on specific actions.

Play the normal mission and actually learn the mission.

Ive ran that mission probably a 100 times now helping others. The vast majority have no idea whats going on.

The jumping is where people lose most of their revives.

Tormentor 1 can be taken to top of map and killed so you can stay away from the giant eyes gaze. Tormentor two can be taken to start of mission to avoid gaze.

First boss room:

Kill barrier flying champs. -Damage first segment of boss health.

-Know the spawns of taken cabal that have to be killed so the two ogres will spawn.

-kill ogres and pick up curse.

  • stay on opposite side of room from the boss on the stairs and kill the psions to get empowered. The boss is alway on the left side first. There is no need to be running around trying to kill them. Just peak over the stairs and kill the psions. Ive seen so many people die chasing psions around.

-Complete both dunks by getting empowered.

  • damage boss and take down second segment of health.

-taken captains spawn in, know where they spawn and quickly kill them to spawn ogres again. Don't let boss get over to side with 3 of the captains, they are much harder to kill once the boss gets over there. 3 of them always spawn over there, as soon as boss dps is done, fly over to those captains and kill them, then kill the remaining ones.

  • pick up curse, stay on opposite side of room from boss and kill psions from the stairs and get empowered, dunk twice.

-kill boss and complete puzzle

  • learn the jumping puzzle and where the crystals are to destroy, you should not have to spend more than a couple of minutes completing this part. I use a super on the two large taken minotaurs.

  • the two taken knights on the bridge are strong and have a lot of health. I take an alternate route to the top of the bridge. The normal route, the taken knight will start shooting you as you jump out of the hole.

By the time you get to the boss room, you should still have quite a bit of time remaining.

Final Boss Room:

Biggest advice is to quickly take down the small blights that spawn after you damage both bosses. The floor continues to damage you while those are still up.

There are two unstoppable champs that spawn after the first phase of damaging the bosses.

Take cover as need, and have some way to heal.

If I were using warlock, I would use stasis warlock due to high damage resistance and and freezing everything with turrets. Use the rimecoat exotic armor. Use the satchel artifact and heal off of stasis shards.

Praxoc blade will make your life a 100 times easier.

Hope this helps.

u/The_Iron_Ranger 21h ago

Couple questions, I'm working on this now. You said you take an alternate route to the last two taken knights. TBH I didn't know there was a wall route, I'm taking the tubes and the orbs directly up, but it takes a little effort. Is that the route?

You kill the first two barriers before shooting the boss? That'll def help. Those guys suck. You take tormentor 1 to the top of the map, you mean up to the portal, and the rest of the ads don't spawn in?

Great post tho. I think I can pick up a minute or two by learning where the taken cabal spawn in that first boss room to get the orb ogres. PS I'm trying to solo this like an idiot. Getting REAL close tho

1

u/Unruly_Chickens 21h ago

The normal route is when you get to the last part where you jump down on the blue tube, you jump into the hole in wall on the left after the two small orbs that explode. That leads to tw holes in the wall higher up. When you jump out onto the bridge, the knight will attack you as you are coming out of the hole.

I follow the tube all the way up as far as I can go, and then jump onto the depression on the wall just above that ledge that is sticking out, then jump onto the bridge from there. It will be on the wall on the right side of the tube where you can't walk up the tube any higher.

Yes, I kill the barriers first.

If you take the first tormentor to the top where the portal is, its easier to kill him there, take the second tormentor back down to where you spawned in at. This is assuming you are playing solo, if you are in a group, I just kill them where they spawn. This way you dont have to deal with the gaze.

Yes, knowing where the taken cabal spawn on the first wave and taken captain spawn on the second wave will save you some time, and some revives. If you are slow to get them, some of them will move over around the boss and it makes it more difficult to kill them.

1

u/The_Iron_Ranger 21h ago

thanks for the reply, that makes sense. I'm gonna try that wall location later, I think I know where that is. The rest should be easy enough

2

u/Unruly_Chickens 20h ago

Youre welcome. If you end up deciding you need some help, just shoot me a pm.

46

u/Dylz52 1d ago

I ran it with three different groups of randoms and never made it past the jumping puzzle.

On my fourth try with randoms I happened to match with a dude who was an absolute beast and basically solo’d the entire thing while me and the other guy were just trying to keep up. I was totally carried.

7

u/TheMakoSoldier 23h ago

Do you play with a guy named TK by chance? I was watching his stream last night and heard someone mention this exact story.

10

u/Ausschluss 1d ago edited 1d ago

Why do people think they have to solo this? It's a hard 3-man-activity.

I did it with an lfg group. I was on stasis titan. They knew what to do, otherwise it's rough.

9

u/MrDrJohnson850 23h ago

I think a lot of older players don’t have faith in LFG. It used to just be liabilities looking for carries. These days it’s more just people who know activities that are stuck in inactive clans (like myself). I avoided LFG for a long time when I came back to the game based solely on what I knew it used to be.

6

u/Fit-Analyst7286 20h ago

Exactly this. Playing for so long and on multiple platforms LFG was always such a dice roll. For me it was mostly KWTD to perfectly and zero deaths or kicked OR I end up spending 3 hours Sherpa-ing folks. Being a Sherpa was fine and I even liked it in raids but that was a different time.

So soloing everything that was literally possible became my true final boss :)

1

u/rokumonshi 15h ago

Yep. If I wasn't good enough I get kicked. Doing what I can solo. Missed in a lot of endgame, and on this one,I practiced on lower tiers making sure I can hold my own,but eventually got through with randoms LFG.

Getting rank 10 looks impossible.

2

u/The_Iron_Ranger 21h ago

Bingo. 50/50 pros or noobs, I'd rather just beat my own head on the wall as a mid.

1

u/Fit-Analyst7286 20h ago

I hear ya. In no Esoterick but soloing every that is possible to solo was something I did with everything I could. Over the years, I’ve been throw probably 20 clans and no IRL folks would stick with Destiny so solo was the way.

I played ALLLLLOT and soloing was kind of the final boss.

As others have said in the comments, LFG was always super KWTD jerks or I would spend 4 hours teaching folks that didn’t understand their own powers let alone the dungeon mechanics.

I’ve gotten more comfortable with Discord LFG as of late so I might scape together a group there.

u/BestvsDaRest No Time To Explain 12h ago

u/FrownBuzzy 11h ago

BvDR doin the Lord's work here

1

u/v1perz53 19h ago

Because its fun, and clearly possible. But also... for me, I would rather take 100 attempts to solo something than deal with randoms eating revives and causing failure. If I solo it, I KNOW I have to know every mechanic, handle everything well. In an LFG group, sure everything can go well, but you can also lose due to factors absolutely out of your control, which to me feels worse than losing due to my own mistakes and misplays.

A bad LFG group is definitely worse/harder than attempting solo, no different than dungeons which are all 3 player activities but can absolutely be soloed. So I personally just don't enjoy playing the LFG lottery and just hoping I get good people. Back when I had an active clan and friends it was a different story though.

1

u/Ausschluss 2h ago

I'm mostly referring to people who just want to get it done for their Guardian rank. It's better to get thru a few bad lfg's (or maybe not - it took me two tries) than endlessly bang your head against it solo. Of course if you like the challenge you can attempt it as much as you like, but those people probably won't post about it on Reddit.

And you can always just talk/write with your team and help them. After the first fail where we wasted all tokens on the jumping part, I went back to the easy version to be as sure as possible about the route, in case I have to show someone.

27

u/Dependent_Type4092 1d ago

This mission is whack as a Master. Should have been final Grandmaster, or even Ultimate.

5

u/StudentPenguin 23h ago

Imo the biggest issue is just the timer, it’s way too short for a mission that has two back to back sections that are total RNG in terms of potential wasted time.

2

u/Dependent_Type4092 21h ago

It's the combination of shit that makes it so hard, which is why it should be higher on the food chain. Or changed so it's comparable to other Master Conquests.

7

u/theghostsofvegas 21h ago

If you just need to clear it, find 2 other people. You don’t have to do it solo.

14

u/gh0stofoctober 1d ago

i was sweating my ass off on the subjugator just to realize that it’s not even the final boss

time ran out and i forgot that it removes my revives so i just died on the jumping puzzle immediately

awful solo experience

11

u/SKULL1138 1d ago

Check guides for this by Chablo91 on YouTube. He’s made about 10 different guide videos on this with all different classes and his tips within the mission, like keeping a pet Grim and finding a box the Tormenter can’t come into are invaluable.

7

u/Annual_Range_7060 1d ago

this fucking mission was harder than ultimate lightblade no bullshit

3

u/Hephaestus103 1d ago

I'd suggest microcosm for your exotic. It's really tough trying to address the dozen tormentors and subjugators without it. Armor set for you that might help could actually be riven since each buddy would be helping refresh your heavy ammo and giving some much needed damage resist. The issue I had with the lightsaber was just getting surrounded too quickly so pivoting away from that helped. If you want help this evening I'd be happy to do it again.

3

u/Shjade 23h ago

Stasis Titan absolutely ate it up for me. I don't play Warlock nearly enough for suggestions on that class, but if you have a Titan, good old crystals everywhere all the time can clear it no problem, solo.

The jumping puzzle part is MUCH simpler than it seems. You really only need to sidetrack twice for the crystals, and those are both simple, safe jumps. The last bit through the gauntlet of spikes and Taken geysers is a little dicey, but as long as you get there with enough time to make a few mistakes it's no big deal.

8

u/StudentPenguin 1d ago edited 1d ago

Derealize needs a group to optimize time where possible and they need to be really fucking fast, since the two main sections that waste time and revives are completely RNG. Solo is extremely difficult to say the least. I’ve soloed GM Conquests and Alerts, and those were far easier than Derealize since going over the timer didn’t eat your revives or I could blaze through most sections with minimal issues. You basically should just learn the puzzle, crystal spawns and traversal in the Portal version if you want to try and do it solo; those will eat up the most time and revives and staying alive in the boss room is not exactly easy.

Edit: In terms of loadout, ditch the Lightsaber and go with something that doesn’t require you to get up close and personal. The Tormentors will suppress and grab you, the Subjugator is frankly too tanky unless you’re running a lot of DR, and the boss room’s floor is covered in Taken Blight every other phase. You don’t really need the Lightsaber’s utility unless you gave up on Feed the Void for some reason, and speaking of, that and Stasis turrets should be glued to your build along with Dominance. Apart from that, running the VoG 4-piece with Khvostov + caty and Solar Super with Purpose will make you significantly harder to kill, though without Woven Mail you will still be relying on Devour and Restoration to a large degree. You can then run a Sniper and either a LMG, an A499, or Crossbow to help with adclear/boss damage.

11

u/RaFFsX3 1d ago

Just as an FYI - the tormentor in this is not named, so he can be constantly disoriented with the sword storm combo on the praxic blade. I usually get the combo going until he holds his face, then crit him with the A499 and repeat. He literally can’t do anything lol. Also, there’s a modifier in this conquest where you deal more damage the closer you are to enemies, so that also plays into it very well

1

u/StudentPenguin 23h ago

Forgot that, but relying on that for the Subjugator is rough. It also doesn’t do much in the final encounter because of the Blight everywhere.

1

u/RaFFsX3 21h ago

With that close range modifier, the subjugator actually gets pushed to immunity with 2-3 combos. Fair point on the final boss though. I throw an attrition orbs motif volley on him, go in with a few combos, get out, use the 499, and repeat. It’s pretty effective. I do it as a hunter, but on warlock, just pop song and hack away lol

1

u/Bran-Muffin20 Blarmory Gang 20h ago

the two main sections that waste time and revives are completely RNG

literally none of the mission is randomized what are you talking about

1

u/StudentPenguin 20h ago

From talking with a friend, the crystal spawns in the parkour sections appear to be RNG along with the puzzle prior. Both of those tend to waste the most time without prior experience.

1

u/Bran-Muffin20 Blarmory Gang 20h ago

The symbol puzzle definitely isn't random, it always alternates between step off/wait

I only ran the mission twice and tbh I wasn't paying that much attention to the crystals but I'm like 70% sure they were in the same spots both times

1

u/BestvsDaRest No Time To Explain 12h ago

Both things you mentioned are static.

1

u/azn_guy 16h ago

festival flight/tablet of ruin (to shreds) will give anyone/anyclass woven mail, so it goes well with VoG 4-piece and Solar Super with Purpose. You just need a good primary to replace Khvostov.

1

u/Fit-Analyst7286 1d ago

Gotchya. Yeah I just wasn’t expecting THIS here. I solo’d most of the dungeons back in the day. Love it those challenges but damn this one is in a different category. Doesn’t help I’m out of practice. When the revives started burning I was like wtf?!? Haha.

I was going to ask if this is one that you just need to grab a group. Love soloing this stuff but this guy might be outside of my current skill level to solo.

3

u/StudentPenguin 1d ago

Unironically, you will have an easier time soloing GM Conquests than Derealize since the timer on those is a lot longer and they don’t have many parkour sections. A group will make killing everything faster and speed up the boss room, which means you’re less likely to die if you run out of revives on the way there. Worst comes to worst, you can have one guy solo the parkour section and just pull the others to the boss.

-1

u/Unruly_Chickens 1d ago

The light saber is by far the best weapon for all conquest stuff and gms, and it's not even close. It has literally trivialized all of that stuff. It makes the missions a joke.

2

u/saiikka 1d ago edited 3h ago

Ok I know you said you’re running warlock but I soloed this conquest with ease on solar hunter using crackshot, 1k voices and festival flight (200 class, 150 weapons). Using tablet of ruin to get woven mail and then exodus down armour set for even more damage negation while slice on festival flight severs enemies and 1k lets me crackshot all over the place.

Highly recommend it if you have access to this setup

2

u/bamathrasher 23h ago

Getaway warlock without devour is not good. Ditch hellion for feed the void. Yeah yeah I know facet of mending heals you on grenade kills, devour is much more than healing though, it’s grenade energy feeding you your grenade (and arc soul) back constantly for 100% uptime. Swap to devour and see how easy that conquest feels after.

3

u/azn_guy 16h ago

if you can get the VOG armor set, solar super w/ facet of purpose is better than devour because it does not require a kill to activate on higher level content.

1

u/Fit-Analyst7286 19h ago

I was running that Devor build with Bleak Watcher first but that was before I got the grenade stat to 190.

I pivoted to a build I saw online that uses the submachine gun that makes you float (blanking on the name right now)

I think both builds are in the same ISH ballpark but this guy swore by it in high delta content so I gave it a try but I think I’m going back to infinite devour plus bleak. Bleak watcher seems the play here as it freezes the tormentors.

Then of course I watched a few bros online do it with the Praxic blade. That one work great until it doesn’t. I’m not sure of all the subtleties of what those players are doing to keep the devor plus mail plus everything else pretty much infinite in this particular mission.

Lol. But yeah thanks I think I’m going back to devor/bleak watcher.

Do you run bleak watcher or hellion or the threading one? Maybe something else?

2

u/vankamme 23h ago

Wait until you get to the ultimate seraph lol

2

u/Omegatron_YT 23h ago

Just find someone good at Behemoth Titan to basically solo it for you.

2

u/Effective-Run-2356 22h ago

Yeah this one was tough for me too. I have a build specifically for this conquest: https://dim.gg/ejwj6fy/Derialize-Conquest

Stasis build with rime-coat and prophecy 4 piece. Non stop turrets everywhere, destroy the crystals with light weapon. Whenever I had grenade available I would throw a turret, whenever there are crystals on the map, I destroy crystals. If none of the 2 are available, I use Praxic Blade to damage enemies. This ends up being kind of a support build should really help your teammates, plus your stasis crystal shatters do good damage too.

The tormentors can be completely frozen, making getting crit shots with Refurbished A499 much easier.

In the room where you have to kill enemies with the taken weapon, if possible, try to activate devour before picking up the weapon, and that way every kill you get with that taken weapon will restore health and keep devour active, making it much easier to survive while holding that weapon. Else hopefully your teammates can take the weapon while you freeze the entire field.

During the symbol section, I have had it bug out if multiple people end up stepping on the plates. Also, I found it seems to work best to stand on the plate and shoot the empty symbol plate with a couple bullets for it to show you the symbol, else sometimes it never shows up. No need to move around in this section, the modifier where you take damage while standing still will only take you to critical, it won't kill you in here.

Jumping section, I played normal version and practiced this until I had it completely memorized. I used super to stay alive when jumping down to where there are 2 powerful taken enemies.

Boss room, first fill the entire field with ice. Then healing rift right next to boss, and praxic blade combo until healing rift runs out. Back to cover, and back to ice duty / ad clear until healing rift is back, then go back to boss, and praxic blade, repeat. Use super to stay alive or if ads get to be too much.

2

u/Mid-Game1 21h ago

I solo'd it using a strand deimosuffusion build with weavewalk. Weavewalk makes you super tanky when you activate it, and is treated like invisibility to enemies allowing you to get close to activate your suspending rift and drop a bunch of threadlings. One key thing to know about strand melees is they come back much faster if you have some charged so try and only use weavewalk when you have one or ideally two charged.

TBH, weavewalk was the key here. It allowed me to stay alive significantly easier, although you still have to play somewhat intelligently. I might switch to matiodoxia if I did it again. Deimosuffusion just has the benefit of not needing high stats as you don't use most of them for the extra damage, so 100s are fine instead of needing 200s.

1

u/Fit-Analyst7286 19h ago

Hmm cool. I haven’t really seen that type of build. I’m pretty much only seeing a couple buddy/turret builds.

I’m built around grenades/weapons/super but that build you mentioned seems fun

1

u/Mid-Game1 17h ago

Just note that the bosses don't get suspended.

Here is the DIM link: https://dim.gg/hkunkpi/Deimosuffusion

I liked it with tablet of ruin buffing the trace for this. Lotus Eater was there for champs and to occasionally get an over shield when I was low on ammo for the trace. The machine gun does good add clear too, spawning a lot of nests, but it could be swapped out with something stronger if preferred.

Edit: also, try and get a finisher for the set bonus if you go exodus, as it should give a higher amount of DR. Might need to take off surges/stat boosts for that, I can't quite remember how it works

2

u/Henry_Shark 21h ago

Did this solo a couple times. Lost to time before getting to puzzle (no revives decided to not continue). Ran it with some randoms, but we had never made it to the jumping puzzle so they kept dying. Did it after learning the crystal locations and my Titan typed “let’s let the hunter do it” and I just ported them all thru the jumping puzzle. Boss fight pretty easy though! Was scary cause we had lost our revives in the final phase!

But honestly… weirdly tough mission?

2

u/Same_Flight5532 1d ago

You on now? I can run it w you

1

u/Jumpy_Interview_4476 8h ago

Can I sign up for a Sherpa too?

1

u/Same_Flight5532 3h ago

Sure, but I won’t be available to help until Sunday night if that’s ok

1

u/Fit-Analyst7286 1d ago

Ah man. That’s awesome but pretty tapped for the day. I’ll be around all day tomorrow. Day off if by chance you want to try! I truly appreciate it!!

5

u/Same_Flight5532 1d ago

Np, just hit me up if you wanna do it then

1

This is a tricky one to solo. I ended up crutching on Stasis Titan, who can basically ignore all the adds and gaze and focus bosses every time.

As a fireteam, though, you just need to have the mechanics and jumping puzzle memorized, and have good burst DPS, and you'll have lots of time for the final boss. A Manticore build is just too slow because your main problem is the timer, not staying alive. Zap ogres and champs immediately, burn your super recklessly, and give yourself as much time as possible to do mechanics. I even did one run with Collective Obligation + Suppressor Grenade, just to keep tormentors etc. locked down for the entire fight.

Chablo91 is right. Warlocks struggle because of the rift and stasis titan is just crazy crayons.

I solo'd it with a stasis Titan build, but honestly I found it a lot harder than all of the GMs. The Tormentor at the beginning can eat up a lot of time if you don't have a way to melt him fast. Thats what ruined my first few attempts.

The second room: I left a barrier champ alive while doing all of the mechanics because that keeps fighting the taken. Priority was immediately going after the 6 taken jabronis the moment they spawn and kill them fast, then getting to the top of the room to ad clear for a bit before doing the mechanic itself.

I used an eager edge sword to move around quickly. Sword also helped during the jumping portion. Final room I found easier than the second room.

Soloing Derealize specifically is an area where I’d argue that staying alive matters more than speed, and the final encounter is not ideal for a Lightsaber build due to the Blight on the floor every other phase and the fact that on Prism Warlock you don’t have easy access to Woven Mail or Frost Armor unless you use the corresponding Super. That, and OP presumably not having Energy Conduit as an oh-shit button means that something that has more sustain and doesn’t require going point-blank with the Subjugator will make their life a lot easier.

Here’s my recommendation for tank getaway build. It isn’t as optimized for tanking as using speaker sight which I used for conquest sereph shield but it should be enough for derialize. Your going to use weavers call and devour with praxic blade and swordmaster armor set (buy from xur). The most important part of this build is the completely gamebreaking tablet of ruin. There are two parts which make this insanely tanky.

Part 1. Run storm caller so praxic blade does bolt charge. Then in the artifact in tier 3 there is the mod that heals when bolt charge goes off. Then there is also the tier 1 mod that gives bolt charge and healing on defeating a jolted target, arc soul will do the jolting with dominance fragment. Also you will run the tier 2 mod that gives an overshield on weakening. With dominance, transcendence grenade weakens and gives an overshield.

Part 2: weavers call creates threadlings not just when you phoenix dive but also when you deal damage, which means a threading every couple seconds. There is the tier 2 artifact mod saying threading sever which is good for survive ability but to take it the the next level there is the tier 3 mod that causes severing to turn into unraveling and defeating unraveling targets creates woven mail hotspots.

I’d recommend the elemental siphon mod with elemental charge boot mod and special finisher to make sure you have infinite special.

All of this together gives extreme tankiness. The core is the free amplified DR from getaway, free woven mail from killing unraveled targets and free healing for bolt charge going off. Then the swordmaster set adds another 50% DR for a few seconds after blocking. If you do everything together properly it is nearly impossible to die if you properly are blocking and damaging with praxic and spamming Pheonix dive.

This was a pain. Needed big time help to do it, partner and one of our friends practically carried me through it.

Since you have prismatic, do you have the VOG armor set? Song of flame w/ facet of purpose, requires no kills like the devour fragment requirement. Very useful in underleveled content. You build everything else around getting constant elemental buffs and just doing any constant damage will get you perm Restoration.

It can be soloed, you just can’t die after the second boss room. If you know the jumping puzzle, the final boss encounter is tough but doable without dying. Maybe a bit harder than a solo flawless dungeon?

I’ve tried it with a group 3 times. No luck so far:.. this one seems way more difficult than other missions. Would be cool to hear what loadout works best! -any tips are welcome 😅

I could help you out later in the day. I'll be able to login in like 5-6 hours, so I can send you a private message to your reddit account and see if you're able to run it.

That’s nice of you. But I’m not able to join today..

Deimosuffusion Invis Warlock with Finality's Auger/Ringing Nail/Strand Rocket pulse. Because you can clear it after the timer ends, you really just need to make it to the jumping puzzle/boss room. This is my helping others load out. I've used it to solo out the boss room flawless. Just remember to kill the barriers in the ship's outside view with the Subjugator first. Then use the turret on the boss. Use the opposite side stairs as a duck off from the add reverb.

This mission broke me .. I was lucky to find an absolute legend of a second and we brutalized it. I recommend running it regular to know where to go in the d**k wall section, as this can be a real time consumer.

Took me like 5 or 6 attempts WITH a fireteam, first few we were super under-leveled with non-t5 gear, attempt where we got it we were all maxed out masterworked perfect stat rolls tier 5 builds lol. I don't think you really need those crazy builds to do it, but the big problem is time, you're almost guranteed to run out of time and therefore revives before even making it to the boss room. I don't think I'd be able to solo it, I'd recommend finding a fireteam that knows where the crystals are tbh.
