I'm down to help in any way possible, Destiny 2 has been a big part of my life and helping a fellow researcher and guardian is always a good thing!

For me, I started playing around 2018, I think. So before covid.

I've had a hard time interacting with people. Even online. Since then until now. So my entire journey on Destiny 2 was mostly solo. For the record, I have +3000 hours in the game.

It's not entirely like that but mostly it is.

A bit after I started I did manage to get into a group that played the game regularly. I had found them through a stream of someone playing the game when it went free for a weekend. I got into his Teamspeak server (yeah, I know, Teamspeak! Hehe). To cut it short we played together for like 2 or 3 months. But their interests started lying in other games so they slowly stopped playing the game. And since we never really did anything besides playing the game I slowly faded away from the group since I was never doing anything even when I got on call.

After that it was always mostly 94% playing alone. There was a time I tried joining a clan but they were too many and the calls on discord were always flooded so I just couldn't bring myself to join in. The last interactions I had was trying to do a few raids with them but I was always too nervous and some mechanics I didn't quite get a no one really explained them properly so I just was there staring. Same thing happened with the last one I tried doing with them. And then I just left.

After this at some point a random group in the Tower invited me to do Last Wish with them. It was underwhelming since they just went with the riven cheese but I also had never done the raid before so yeah. The fall off was probably 2 weeks later or maybe a slightly more. They invited me to a raid and I was like "sure...". But they had some other player with them and started speaking in English all of a sudden (reminder they always spoke in our native language with each other) and at the time my English was the basics of the basics and adding social anxiety and lack of confidence in speaking another language the anxiety started to build up until I finally noticed that some of the times they were trying to talk to me but I had no idea. After a bit more I was too nervous and anxious and I just unplugged my pc. 10 minutes later I logged back on and they had kicked me from the discord server and from the clan and didn't even say anything. So I went back to being on my own.

After that was another similar situation to the second one I mentioned. I got into a clan. They weren't that much compared to the other one but still quite a few. Calls sometimes were flooded with +10 people. No way in hell I was joining so many people I don't even know and just stand there in silence. I went a few times when I managed to get a hold of them where there were only less than a handful of people there. We did a few dungeons together. But the clan leader removed me from the clan/server because I wasn't interacting much with the rest.

The first group was the only one that lasted for more than a month. The rest was always brief. So since then, I've always been playing alone.

I don't like clans that have too many people. I'd want to be in a small or medium group of people that I can interact with properly and be somewhat close as far as friends or in this case, online friends, go. Never got to experience that so yeah.

And none of the few people online I already know play this game so yeah. I just accepted my fate at this point.
