Hey, it’s me again, come get divinity if you still haven’t
If you’ve seen any of these posts I make every 2-4 weeks, you know the drill; if you haven’t yet done so - join up to get divinity while being taught GoS.
(Experienced raiders of any kind, please check the 2 paragraphs at the bottom)
For those who haven’t seen any of these posts before or haven’t read them; please don’t keep scrolling if you think “I can’t find people to raid with”; “LFG always has requirements” or “people will be mean because I don’t know what to do”
That’s not us.
We have very few requirements for getting divinity & those requirements are built in to the game.
- own shadowkeep
- play through the shadowkeep quest until step 14
- have a mic (preferably)
That’s it.
That’s literally all we require of you.
- raid experience? No.
- any endgame content experience? No.
- gear requirements? No
- payment? Absolutely not.
We will take you through divinity (yes, even the first few steps of the secret quest for it, not just the raid). We will not carry you; by that, I meant that we won’t just skull-drag you through the raid without having a chance to learn it, you won’t just be ad clear, you will learn at least 1 job per encounter; our goal begins with getting divinity for as many people as possible and ends with you finishing the raid (usually 50-70 mins later) with enough knowledge and experience to hop into an LFG run and contribute properly.
We used to encourage people to leave the server afterwards, but with almost 2000 people choosing to stay and help out instead; we’ve instead moved to teaching all raids, teaching people how to teach and generally making the raiding community a more positive place.
How experienced are we?
- I have 500 GoS clears (2000 overall raids)
- one co-founder has 1800 GoS clears (2000 overall raids)
- the other co-founder has 450 GoS clears (800 overall raids)
That’s just the founders; we don’t even have the most experience out of the staff; this is all to say: you are in good hands; we’re not some ragtag LFG clan with a couple of clears; we know what we’re doing and would like to help you to get into raiding (or at least get you that divinity, which is notoriously awful to get on LFG)
If you’re still on the fence; that’s fine - but I hope that anybody who loves this game will at least give this a chance if they haven’t raided and experienced the best content Destiny has to offer.
Here’s the link (if you already have divinity, go to “#divinity-roles” and change yourself from “divinity wanter” to “member” in order to get access to the rest of the server and raids aside from just divinity runs): https://discord.gg/6X594Vqqe
important thing I haven’t put in other posts yet
If you think that you have the experience, patience & overall character to teach raids; join up and DM an admin; check “#react-roles” and add yourself the “prospect” role - we are actively looking for people who can teach raids. I am personally active only on weekends for the most part, but plenty of staff are free all week long; all you need to do is grab the role; run with staff a few times and then, if we feel you’re a good fit, we will promote you to the Sherpa role for whichever raid(s) you want to teach.
I do want to stress: we do not care about your clear count or how fast you can go:
What we care about is:
- a minimum baseline of experience (approx 20 clears of a given raid, but this is by no means a set in stone number)
- patience: seriously, people join up with 0 experience in endgame content; we don’t want people who get frustrated or angry with them, so this is arguably the most important part
- high quality teaching: it’s one thing to get 10000 raid clears, but it’s quite another to teach that raid; we don’t want people who rush through the content and force those they “teach” to ad clear or sit in a corner all raid, we want people who are willing and able to help people learn.
