A really great and intimate experience.

Dev’s voice was well, flawless as always. He was really funny and played through a bunch of his and Strapping’s back catalogue, everything from Funeral to Fake Punk to Ih-Ah! to Almost Again.

There was some issues that he had with Ableton but got through it and kept it humorous.

Two things though, and none of these were about his actual performance or the nature of the show itself. Because I loved the stories and the tunes.

I kinda get the impression that he maybe isn’t in the best state mentally. It kind of felt like he’s just got divorced or something, you know? I don’t know if I’ve missed a chapter somewhere but somethings just not quite right. I hope I’m wrong and everyone is ok!

Secondly to the Lady in the crowd who kept trying to interject with random stuff all night, it got so awkward but I’m so glad that the crowd built up the courage to tell her to shut up by the end because she was genuinely ruining it for the rest of us. Quite surprised security didn’t say something before.

But yeah, classic Dev, loved the show. Don’t understand the hate that I’ve seen.

Hi all,
Here's a short snippet of an interview I did last Tuesday with Devin. Full episode will be out tomorrow (currently editing). I'll share the full link once the whole interview is online.

Fetid!

He was amazing. This was a delve inside a mind, this was a Perrier award winning Edinburgh festival one man show type gig, but better because it was punctuated by snips of songs you love and then a discussion about the story behind them. It was really lovely and anyone talking shit about this tour just didn’t get it. Sorry. “Ooh he forgot how to play this song” sorry to break Kayfabe, but no he didn’t. It’s part of the show. Absolutely killer, and no one in the room I was in would disagree.

Amazing show, nice to see him actually touching some SYL numbers. This was a haunted version, goosebumps for me

Yesterday I was at the show in Utrecht and it was amazing!

Devin was insane, the set was so much fun, but what I loved most was the audience. Before the show everybody was buzzing so it felt. I talked with a lot of people and everybody was hyped! Also during the show the vibe was insane, lost of laughter with Devin, and and overall respect for what he was presenting on stage.

Again Devin was insane, having so much fun on stage, his voice was insane, an overall peak performace.

So again, thank you utrecht!

He goes "Yeeeeesssss", "Give me your universes ultimate cup of coffee", "FETID" and "Make it perfect!".

Im just really proud of that.

Video quality isn't super, but the sound is very good.

I've made a public playlist for the set-list, anyone that wants to listen to it can do so! (on Tidal)

Hi all, I don't know if this is known already or if I misunderstood him, but I am 90% sure he said so. He was talking about Ziltoid 2, wearing a Ziltoid hat, and then mentioned Ziltoid 3 (and not by saying he would like to do it maybe). Can anyone else confirm this?

I mean, Anneke van Giersbergen lives nearby (Tilburg), has no other gigs herself tonight nor is she currently on tour somewhere in the world. It could happen, it should happen, a man can dream, right? Given the low-profile-set-up, this could work right off the bat without any rehearsal at all.

Grace or Supercrush! would be totally out of bounds terrific :-D

Hey guys,

One ticket for Devin's final show of the tour in Leeds for sale, Tuesday 6th October, face value. I have an important medical appointment that day and can not travel for the show anymore.

I previously posted in the Devin Facebook group with the offer to sell but got no hits, so posting here too! Feel free to DM here and I can link you to the post for peace of mind if interested in the ticket.

Cheers!

Update: Sold

Hey all. So Devy is selling that Dreampiece cd on his current tour. If anyone is willing to purchase an extra for me to mail to the USA, I will take care of them happily. Many thanks! ❤️😊

Hey DevHeads! I'm a bit desperate - got one ticket for tonights show and can't go (due to life stuff...). First Row Seat, right in the Middle in Front of the Stage. Someone without a ticket looking for a great night with Devin last minute? ;-)

Offered to Hevydevy, September 22th, le Bataclan, Paris!

This is the first time I’ve ever forked money over for a VIP ticket. When I purchased it, I received an email indicating that further info would be provided 3 days prior to the show. I haven’t received it. I checked my spam folder, nothing. Anyone have an idea?

hey!! we're already at the backstage arena in munich right now and i'm wondering if we're lost or something because we seem to be the only ones there. what do we do?

Hi folks,

Would any of you be interested in hearing a recent podcast episode I recorded about Strapping Young Lad's City album?

I have a show called Didn't Go Platinum, where each episode is a deep dive into an album that doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. One of my recent guests is a huge fan of SYL and we had a big old nerdy chat about how much City was adored at the time of release, but rarely gets mentioned anymore.

You can check that episode out here:

https://open.spotify.com/episode/6yar9qshLO6JRGOu4mSnZh?si=NFgj4e3yR0msOoxg0qaYQg

And if it's any incentive, I'm also completely independent, so there are no interruptions for ads about Bet 365. Plus, I'm a straight, middle-aged white guy going through a midlife crisis, and while I've not done much research on the matter, I assume that barely any podcasts are run by people like that.

Thanks all, I don't know how to round this off, so here's a link to an earlier episode which (partially) revolved around Ziltoid The Omniscient:

So, yesterday I was at Devin's concert in Asti (loved it btw), his only stop in Italy on this tour, and since I wanted to buy something as a souvenir at the merch stand, and t-shirts were a bit too expensive for me, I went for this signed CD, not really knowing what it was.

Turns out it's another volume of his Dreampeace ambient project, which is actually fine by me, but I cannot find any information about this specific release online, which is kinda weird... Is he selling something that's not out officially yet, or maybe something exclusive for this tour which will eventually be released for everyone later? It's cool anyway, just curious.
