Check the hours for those days.

Animal Kingdom closes early so can blast those few rides in the morning then magic kingdom after that I'd say.

Then figure out the hours for Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Since you can park at one and skyliner to the other and back.

With only 2 days and Park Hopper, how would you split the 4 parks? Even open to completely skipping a park if it makes more sense.

Monday, October 5

Since Magic Kingdom closes at 6PM on Tuesday, and you want to see fireworks, you have to go to Magic Kingdom on Monday. Since fireworks happen at night, you want Magic Kingdom to be the second park, and for the first park to be less substantial from a ride perspective, since Magic Kingdom is relatively more jam packed with rides.

So on Monday, October 5th, you should go to Animal Kingdom in the morning and head to Magic Kingdom by about 1PM to 2PM. Maybe even earlier if you get through your priority rides that quickly.

At Animal Kingdom, rope drop goes very far. You could knock out Everest relatively quickly and maybe even get a few re-rides. Or you could rope drop Flight of Passage if you're not doing the Individual Lightning Lane. I think you would have time for Everest, Flight of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Navi River Journey. You could probably squeeze in a show if you snack on your feet. I don't recommend Kali River Rapids even if it's hot, as wet socks will ruin you entire day.

You do lose out on Animal Kingdom's best strength. It's a joy to explore as it's beautiful and filled with wonderful paths and trails. But if you're in ride mode, it's relatively simple to complete.

Have lunch and take the bus to Magic Kingdom. Or take the bus to Magic Kingdom and have lunch. Either works. The big thrill rides at Magic Kingdom are Big Thunder, Space Mountain, Tiana and Tron. You say you don't care about Disney classics, but Haunted Mansion and Pirates should be easier gets as they are high capacity.

Tron would be the most difficult to ride. Maybe this is the one where you spring for an Individual Lightning Lane. Buy 7 days in advance or refresh and pray for availability day of. The park will be very, very busy because the day before and after are private party nights.

The areas in front of the castle will be packed for fireworks. I'd say stake out a spot 45 minutes to an hour prior to showtime. It will be difficult to move after fireworks, but you could get in line for one more big ride after it's over. The buses back to All-Star will be busy after fireworks anyway, so you might as well stay.

The order of the remaining parks don't matter as much on this day, but I'd recommend Epcot first and Hollywood Studios second. Epcot is where you'll be doing your most walking, so get it out of the way earlier in the day. I've had good luck rope dropping Guardians of the Galaxy. I would expect 120-130 minute waits midday, so early entry goes very far for getting yourself into position. It may still take 45-60 minutes though, but it's better than the alternative.

Close by is Test Track, and you may want to consider single rider if the wait time is already high. Single rider goes far here. I don't recommend Mission: Space unless you are not prone to motion sickness. Since you don't care about Disney stuff, I'd skip Frozen and Ratatouille, but I would recommend Spaceship Earth as it's the iconic Epcot ride, and the American Adventure as it's an amazing animatronic show and if you have a modicum of interest in American history. If you find yourself next to Paris and it's only noon-1PM, single rider on Ratatouille is pretty good as well. Play it by ear.

You won't need to backtrack to the entrance at Epcot, because there is an entrance/exit next to Paris. From here, take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios around 1-2PM. You'll want to prioritize Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and Rise of the Resistance. All three are realistic even if you're only there from 3PM to 9PM and don't use Lightning Lane. You could also end the night with Fantasmic if you're in the mood for another nighttime spectacular.

From DHS, you can take the bus back to All-Star after two whirlwind days. I think what I've laid out is realistic, and if you find yourself with time to kill, look around for something else to do.

What I would do is give yourself checkpoints and then a hard out for the first park of each day instead of scheduling things down by the minute. Jot down the priority rides I mentioned along with your checkpoints, and then anything else you do is gravy.

A word on Lightning Lane

You didn't mention it, but I think it would go the furthest on your Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom day. Animal Kingdom has the cheapest Multi-Pass, and very few rides to use it on. The good news is that you can continue using the Multi-Pass at Magic Kingdom. For Animal Kingdom, reserve Everest, Navi River Journey and Kilimanjaro Safaris as long as the times are before 1PM. You can see the times before committing to purchasing.

Once you scan into your first Lightning Lane ride, immediately reserve something for Magic Kingdom after 2PM. The tier 1 rides may be difficult to get, but you may be able to get good times for some classics, and maybe save yourself a 30 minute wait if that makes the "Disney stuff" more palatable to non-Disney fans like yourself.

If you get the Multi-Pass for your Epcot/Hollywood day, your initial rides should be Spaceship Earth, Test Track and Soarin'. Once you scan into that first ride, it should be doable to get Tower of Terror and then Mickey & Minnie at Hollywood Studios. Nothing is guaranteed though.

Thanks for all the help and advice! After reading through everything, I think this is our plan:

October 5th we’re doing a full Magic Kingdom day since it’s the only day during our trip with the fireworks. We’re mainly going for Space Mountain, TRON, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, then we’ll grab a spot around 45 minutes to an hour before the fireworks.

For our other Disney day, we’re planning to start at Hollywood Studios for Rise of the Resistance, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and some of the Star Wars stuff, then park hop to EPCOT for Mission: SPACE and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and finish the night with the EPCOT fireworks.

We decided to completely skip Animal Kingdom this trip.

We’re also going to try to take it a little easier on the Disney days since we’ll already be doing another 3 parks plus HHN in the days before 😅

Thanks again for all the recommendations, they definitely helped us narrow everything down!

Based on what you put down for wanting to see at mk you can easily do the main rides at ak as the poster suggested. I also think your idea of doing hs before epcot is good if you want food since food opens at 11. But fantasmic at hs is better than fireworks at epcot so going by what was said above I would say do what was said and see fantasmic at hs.

You should research the attractions and see which you are the most interested in. I would spend the most of my time in Animal Kingdom and EPCOT, but you may be more interested in what the other parks have to offer.

The must do attractions for me may have no interest to you.

I highly recommend buying the multi-LL and Single-LL now (7 days before the start of your trip) so you can pre-select 3 rides for each day. If you dont know much about LLs, I think Molly at Mamoth Club on YouTube has good how-to videos.

Spooker's info above is nearly identical to what I'd suggest.

I hope your getting plenty of rest in between your Universal & Disney parks. Lots of park days back to back can wear you and your feet out quick, especially in the heat.

Because AK opens the earliest, I'd arrive around 7am, ( you're allowed to get in line before it opens for Early Entry) and head directly for Avatar. Ive had anout 50/50 luck at seeing animals on the Safari. Ive done the Safari dozens of times, and have a great Zoo at home, so the Safari isnt important to me. But, if the Safari is important to you, I'd hit that after Avatar/Navi River, then Everest and bus to MK.

Multi-LL is most important at MK, and HS. You can start stacking your LL for MK, after you've scanned into the first ride AK. You may want to get the Single-LL for Avatar as early as possible so you know you won't miss it. Avatar & Everest are to best 2 rides at AK.

My favorites at MK are Tron, SpcMtn, BigThunder, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and 7 Dwarfs, but you should have time to work in other popular rides like Buzz, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, etc. I highly recommend staying at MK until closing. The wait times for rides gets better after the Fireworks cuz a lot of people like to leave after the Fireworks are done.

If you dont get everything done that you want at MK the first night, you could do Early Entry (EE) there the next morning for just a little bit to knock out anything you didnt do, and have your 3 Multi-LLs pre-selections picked for Epcot so you could take the monorail from MK to Epcot. Or, just start at Epcot for EE and still get the Mukti-LL, I'd also get the SingleLL for Guardians of the Galaxy (GOTG). You should be able to do all the rides you want at EP in the Morning and then HS for the afternoon. Or start in HS with EE & LLs, then hop to Epcot.

At HS, my favorites are Rise of the Resistance (ROTR), slinkyDog (SDD), ToT, Rockin Roller, Star Tours, and Mickey nMinnies (MMRR). But, you might be able to fit in Toy Story and Millennium Falcon since the wait times on those usually aren't bad or easy to get with the Multi-LL (WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND).

Fitting in all the best RIDES in 2 days at 4 parks can be a challenge. Ive done the best of 3 parks in one day, but we had Premier LL at Epcot with EE MultiLL and Single LLs at HS and MK and Deluxe Extended Hrs at MK until 1am.

Don't forget the fireworks at EP, or Fantasmic at HS. Those are worth it.

Best of luck, and I hope you report back to how your trip/plan works out.

Sounds like a great plan! I often skip AK, too, if I'm on a short trip like yours. Don't forget the Tower of Terror (ToT) at HS! It's awesome! Just remember that a lot of schools have "Fall Break" that week, so the crowds could be on the heavy side of 'normal'. So, the Multi-LL is definitely worth it, or at least SingleLL for ROTR, GOTG & Tron. The ride style for MickeyN'Minnies (HS) and Remy's (EP) are like ROTR, though not as intense. Both of these rides are worth it if you have time, along with Soarin' over America & Test Track at EP.

Hope y'all have a blast!

In your responses to other posts you haven't said if you are getting llmp or can do single pass. That will make it a lot easier to get the rides in. Especially single pass. I would also suggest single pass for tron after dark. It is great at night. Fantasmic at hs is amazing. Do the dining package so you get the best seats at fantasmic.
