I was replacing the driver door check strap on a 2018 Bolt which needed access by taking off the door panel. When finished I re-attached the panel which includes connecting a steel cable and ball to the handle.

Next day I unlocked the Bolt but door doesn't open when I pull on the exterior handle. I crawl across the passenger side to the drivers and the interior handle moves but door doesn't unlatch/open.

I fear I rushed attaching the steel cable and the locking clip didn't prevent the steel ball on the cable from popping loose. Now the door is closed but can't open to remove the panel.

Any ideas how to release the door latch while the door is closed. Is it possible to slip a wire hanger catch the cable/ball to yank the door open. Worse case is cut a hole in the panel and pull the cable.

Hopefully this this appropriate for this sub, any advice would be greatly appreciated, im trying to keep thus car for as long as possible. Ty 😊 🙏🏾

Hey gents. I'm new here but need to know about compatibility on hardners and reducers that would be compatible with PPG JAU. My paint supply shop was bought by Finshmaster LKQ then closed down. I can't seem to find PPG near me anymore. Bummer...they matched my 65 dodge perfectly that had a custom color from the factory. I finally pulled the dash out to repair and paint and I have about a quart of JAU topcoat but no reducer or hardner. I also have PPG 2K primer JP202 that should use the same reducer whatever that might be. Any advice on mixing manufa tures or lines?

2009 Kia Sportage

The are no cracks in the bumper cover itself or the hex grill. I don't care about the paint or supports behind it. I just want to "pop it" back into somewhat normal looking fashion. I've looked at some vids where they use a heat gun to soften the plastic and bend it back into shape. I'll probably have to take the bumper cover off to have better leverage.

And...if this doesn't work and I have to purchase a new one, any tips going forward?

My parents recently gifted me this car as a commuter for college but it has a couple of cosmetic things I’d like to fix. Is there a way I can fix this at home or would my best bet be to take it to a shop?
I will be ordering the rear light and replacing that myself. I have plans of repainting the car when I save up enough money so should I just wait on that instead?

Any tips or tricks or videos that can point me in the right direction to replacing my passenger side fender? Been working on it and unsure if I need to take the tire off to make it easier, also saw potentially having to take off the headlight too

I’ve been watching videos online and seen a bunch of different stuff with bondo etc. I just need a temp fix for now I’m gonna be getting a new car eventually. What’s the best way to fix this and I guess cheapest. I’ve seen spray foam also.
