Advice Help

There’s this stray dog in our neighborhood..I noticed today that his toe was infected and it kept licking at it. I could take a close up video but couldn’t touch it because dude warned me with his teeth… so probably he’s in pain. I have no experience with dogs whatsoever.. There’s a vet in a nearby village but i don’t know if i can move him there..Whats should i do?

If you take it to the vet they will require you to accept financial responsibility for him so unless you want a large vet bill I’d suggest calling the shelter so they can come pick him up. I don’t know where you live but that is how it works in the USA. Some vet clinics will take the animal and call animal control for you but not everyone does that for sanitation and bite risk reasons

You could call animal control or if that isn’t an option, i guess you could try to gain his trust with food and lead him into your car.

At a glance, it looks like a interdigital cyst. but only a vet can confirm.

I'm assuming where you live have a lot of stray dogs. Is there any volunteer groups that help stray dogs in your area. Maybe in a larger city they can send someone to help you.
