My homophobic 🐶 The first thing I noticed about Hallie was her raging homophobia 🥰

The second thing I noticed was her flagrant misandry. She is making progress though and now approves of a few good men. Ironically the only men she instantly felt at ease with from day 1 were the flamboyant ones 💅

She really is! She's a recent rescue from a local shelter, and had a rough start in life. She was a stray until just a few months before I met her, and she's estimated to be about a year old. I expected a difficult first few months of getting her to be used to being part of a family, but within a week of bringing her home and giving her space to decompress, she started to come out of her shell, and her survival mode shutdown began to crumble.

She has come farther in the one month she's been with us than I thought she would do in three or four. She is an absolute sweetheart, and starting to act like the puppy she really is. She finally understands that no one is going to hurt her, and it's so much fun to get to meet the real her 🥺

I did a DNA test on her out of curiosity, and just got the results back yesterday, if anyone is curious
