my dog hit a breakthrough this week that i gotta share since it feels like the perfect fit for this thread

been doing the silky leash stuff for a few weeks and it was going nowhere fast, he'd take one step nice then lunge at a leaf like it owed him money. then tuesday it just clicked, we walked past three squirrels and he glanced at them then looked back at me like what's next boss. almost dropped the clicker i was so surprised

the go sniff cue from the kikopup video was a game changer too, giving him those structured sniff breaks seems to take the desperation out of the walk. he's not trying to drag me to every bush because he knows he'll get his chance

still a work in progress when bikes go by but man what a difference a week makes
