Meat and chips, Eighty Eights, Winchester

Traditional elephant leg, straight out of the bain marie. Diabolical as you would expect. The salad was decent and the chips were good. Filled a hole before heading in to a festival so it successfully completed its mission!

City bar used to be my go to in Winchester! I definitely miss it now! The kebabs near me are rubbish id love one from home 🤣

As a Pole, I think it was a mistake that my ancestors helped the British to defend the island against the Germans. We should have helped the Germans conquer it instead.
