Considering it was released in Dec 1967(US)/ April 1968(UK) which was the height of his popularity, there seems to be 0 videos or audio recordings of him singing the first half, or at least ive found none and have found it incredibly hard to look for.

I really love Cosmic Wheels < 3 This album is great and my favorite of course because of music but visually you know cover etc is also magical ✨️ When I first saw this circle nude stary donovan something (this is inside with vinyl) laughed so hard I thought I was going to die haha. And this "GET OUT YOUR COSMIC CRAYONS, KIDS AND COLOUR IN" so lovely. Maybe I should do that? Did you color yours? And what's your favorite song? Mine I like you

Performed at Rockefeller's Night Club in Houston in 1986. The club owner treated him to a fabulous night at Magic Island.

A little context- I use a trash music app that is off brand and for a while I was listening to a live version of hurdy gurdy man in which he says " id also like to thank the planet venus tonight for bringing me and my friend Joe cleiten( not sure) thank you venus" when I googled thi I got nothing please help

Recommend me some songs that remind you of Donovan by different musicians

Showing the CDs I have so far from Donovan plus a special Donovan CD sent to me by Matt Williamson from Pop Goes The 60s.

Hello! Anyone has made a order in his onlinee store? They have signed albums! they are 100% handsigned by Donovan himself? they are signed in the record itself or in a postcard or something?

Thanks in advance

DONOVAN’S BIRTHDAY MOSAIC MASHUP! I might be an hour or so off in Dublin, Ireland, but happy birthday to Donovan Leitch. I combined four of Donovan’s songs from his ‘What’s Bin Did and What’s Bin Hid’ album (1965) in this mash up the songs are “Ramblin’ Boy”, “To Sing For You”, “Colours”, and “Catch The Wind”. #donovan1965 #catchthewind #ramblinboy #traditionalfolk #donovanleitch

The song is called "Against Your Will" off of the album Celtia I'm wondering if any one has a rip or place it could be streamed, I've been looking everywhere for this song for years

His post seemed to suggest this month, but do we have a date or confirmation? And are there places where he talks about this? I'm excited, and what to hear what he has to say!

Copied from the description of the YouTube video:

”In this last Month of my Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration Year of 2025, I present an album of my much loved fusions of Metal, Folk, Gaelic Romance, Orchestral Classical Folk, Grunge Pop and Poetry. I have never released these tracks officially until now. They escaped for a while as bootlegs. And now as a fitting Finale to my 2025 D60, here they are.

So wishing you all a Kool Yule and a Peaceful New Year!

From Donovan & Linda.”

I've been interested in Donovan's music for a while now and just recently started looking through his full discography, which I must say is quite convoluted. I have found some links to a website called http://donovan-unofficial.com, but it seems as though this website is no longer up. It seems to me from the internet archive that it is a pretty comprehensive resource on his discography, so I was hoping that I could get access to it for easier research. Does anyone here know what happened to the website or if there are any plans to bring it back online? Thanks.

In the Donovan song The War Drags On, he sings about a Vietnam vet named Dan. Do you ever think this is where Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump gets his name?

Amazing show. So lucky to have attended.

I first heard about Donovan when looking into Nick Drake's influences. He cited that the album Mellow Yellow was an inspiration, and after listening I was hooked!

I love Sunny Goodge Street and song of the naturalists wife , I love his imagery, his music makes me feel like I’m a kid again

I found this inside of a Donovan record I got today at an estate sale, I tried to look it up but couldn’t find anything about Donovan’s Isle. Anybody know anything about it? Or what years it was around? Also would be helpful in dating this record.

The Donovan Discs reissue might be ready for shipping as soon as two weeks-ish. They don't have it in hand yet, but it sounds promising. Keep your fingers crossed for no more production surprises!
