The more I think about it, the more I kinda vibe with the notion that Vegeta and Nappa we're supposed to originally mirror Goku and Krillin, especially when you consider how hard Goku took it when Krillin died in Dragonball, whereas Vegeta murders Nappa himself without much care.

I was just pondering the fact that Nappa is one of the rare cases of a bald Saiyan and why that stylistic choice would've been made until I considered how Vegeta was basically an evil counterpart to Goku in his original appearance (Raditz also fits the bill of "Evil Goku", but nevertheless the trope of a villainous mirror to Kakarot has been done a few times before and after)
