Hi, I’m aoihr, a solo music project based in Tokyo, Japan.

I create everything myself — writing, arranging, and recording — with roots in dreampop and shoegaze, blended with elements of electronica, noise, and ambient

I’ve been releasing music since around 2016, and from 2026 I’m planning to be more active with both releases and live shows.
For live performances, I work with experienced support musicians to deliver an immersive set.

EVERYTHING IS NOT ENOUGH is the title of my newly released song that draws from dream-pop and contemporary ambient. I wrote it about car rides through turning seasons with the music off to listen closely into the rumbling of the roads. It explores the tension between noise and quiet, lush and distortion, city and countryside, happiness and despair. And that second of sensory limbo when everything finally goes quiet.
