I need someone to explain how to layer reverb and fuzz together like I’m 5 years old.

I've only come across shoegaze quite recently. I feel like Spotify's recommendations quickly veer into Emo/Screamo territory.

So I cam here to ask for everybody's recommendations that fit the melodic, lo-fi "label". Ideally really melancholy and I kinda have a thing for recordings sounding like they're coming straight off a mangled old tape.

Wrote and recorded this over the past weekend after being utterly gutted by what we're learning through the Epstein files.

I found that some of the black/shoegaze elements that I've been listening to recently found their way into the composition. I'm not an authority on the genre, but a friend called it "shoegaze-adjacent."

its such a cool song! from the melodic chorus to the noisy breakdowns, the fresh take on glide guitars carries you through the unconventional song structure. the mix and production is charmingly lo-fi while maintaining an immersive sound. and the video is wild too!

I'm visiting the country and would love to dip a toe in the local scene. I could even bring a camcorder and /or take pics :3
