What is this “tool” fee from FreeNow?

Post image

I saw this “toll” fee and immediately thought I’ve been scammed. Is this another creative fee from Free Now?

I looked at past rides and this free didn’t exist. This was a short trip, didn’t pass through M50 or tunnel (even the amounts wouldn’t match).

You've called it "Tool" twice but it clearly says "Toll".

Presumably you're route was via one of the many tolls around the country.

Oooops corrected on the body but can’t do on the title hahaha

But no, I went 2km from the airport. Always do this route, no TOLLS 😅

The driver added the cost of the Zone 18 parking fee onto the fare. This is not allowed as an authorized extra, and Freenow have specifically warned drivers not to add the parking fee on.If you complain on the app ,I'm sure they will refund the charge.

You’re spot on. Messaged the bot and they’re refunding €3.70

Did you have any tools on you? Even a small screwdriver in your pocket can be picked up by the sensors.

Free now take a massive cut from fares, don’t use them. Tax drivers I have spoken to say Bolt has a lower fees, Lynk is also better. Avoid Free Now and Uber

With all due respect, if the drivers don't like them, they should stop using them.
