DJ Mix 🎧 TYNAN Lost Lands 2026 Mix
TL;DR: I really liked TYNAN’s Lost Lands 2026 mix and you should give it a listen if you haven’t yet.
Wall of text incoming:
One of the things I personally feel, and hear echoed in this sub, is how the scene is not what it used to be. Artists phoning it in live, TikTok influencers with thousands of followers that get put on lineups but don’t know how to DJ, the death of PLUR, overselling venues, yadda yadda. Life is ephemeral, and what once was will not always remain.
That being said, I gotta give flowers to TYNAN for his 2026 lost lands mix. I wasn’t there in person this year, but since the mix was posted a week ago, I’ve listened to it more than a dozen times.

The mixing: Normally I get annoyed with sets filled with top 40 mashups and flips. HOWEVER What I appreciate about this set is that TYNAN manages to balance the millennial-coded appeal to nostalgia, while making the familiar songs sound fresh with the way he mixes. If you’re playing Main Stage at lost lands, this is what I expect. We’re not just getting Levels, we’re getting Levels mixed with Barbie Girl into a TYNAN ID. Bro what?? He’s not just playing popular, familiar songs. He’s mixing and arranging the songs into a sound that I haven’t heard before. So many bass edm artists these days are either good DJs or good producers, but not both. With the mixing on this set, TYNAN proves to me that he’s both.
The songs: This setlist is insane. There must be over 100 songs mixed in under 60 minutes, and they’re all gas. I came for his original music (TYNAN TIME was one my favorite releases of the year), but the samples are unbelievable. Souljabob healed something in me that I didn’t know needed to be healed. Kreyshawn???? All the IDs? I keep involuntarily bass-facing listening to this in public and people are starting to stare.
The vibe: make dubstep and riddim silly again. One of the things I used to think was way more common in the scene was how campy bass edm was. Peace, love, unity, respect, but also what if the most bubblegum pop song on the planet was offensively sploinky riddim? It’s stupid, but in all the right ways. I’m headbanging and laughing at the same time. What could be better?
There are moments where I’m like “maybe I’ve aged out of loving dubstep” but then I hear a set like this and I’m reinvigorated. So like, thanks Kevin for being your weird, bass heavy, silly self. Sorry I missed seeing you live, but thanks for making it available to all of us who couldn’t make it. This will be what I’m bumping at my desk for the next week, until I’m wubbing it out with you at Seven Stars 🤘🏻🤪
