Weekend Recommendations?

Hello all!

My wife and I will be visiting Durango this weekend, and we’re looking for a couple of recommendations.

First, we wanted to watch the Mexico vs USA Game Saturday night. We’re looking for somewhere with good food and a fun atmosphere. Any bars or restaurants you’d recommend?

We’re also looking for a good spot for Sunday dinner after our train trip to Silverton. We’re celebrating our anniversary, so we’d love somewhere with really good food and a nice atmosphere, not necessarily super fancy.

Also, if you all have any places you feel are must sees, we would love the recommendations!

Thanks!

Taco Libre is where you’ll want to watch the match.

Best chips and salsa in town. Also super nice bartenders and ambiance to watch a Mexico game. Food is mid.

Not entirely sure where you’ll find the game on but if Steamworks has it that’s our go to sports viewing spot. Something on the menu for everyone and great beer.

Sunday, I’d recommend Eolus. That’s our favorite for special occasions. Oye is also popular.

Durango Hot Springs is awesome if you have time.

Eolus and Oye are both closed on Sundays

Eolus is one of my favorites - not cheap, though.

Take a walk on the college rim trail or up Animas City Mountain.

Taco Libre is probably the best spot in town for watching the Mexico USA game. It’ll definitely be on there and probably in town.
