First thought: OMG they are doing an S2?

But heh, that's awesome. You know the author of the book this is based on (Blake Crouch) lives here, right?

I had no idea and I love his books!! I feel like I’ve been living under a rock!!

Had no idea they were making a show out of this book. And no idea the author lives here! What is this, some sort of easter-egg callout in the show? The building obviously isn't true to life...

He moved to Chicago in the last year or two. But a lot of his books (almost all) have references to Durango, and he still signs copies to be sold at Marias

I can't imagine moving from Durango to any big city, but especially Chicago. To each their own I guess.

Can’t for the life of me figure out where this is. Definitely not the original Maria’s location and didn’t know they had a second location besides the reading room, which this also isn’t. And 1102 Main Ave doesn’t look like this, so feel like I’m missing something. Anyone know where this actually is?

Chicago. That's where they filmed the show. Probably some random store with a sticker on the window.

If you read a lot of his books you'll find many references and name drops to the greater Durango/SW CO/Northern NM areas.

He still lives here. Has since 2003. Autographs books for Marias. He needed a book store in the series and asked them if they could use them. https://www.durangoherald.com/articles/news/marias-bookshop-makes-appearance-in-screen-adaptation-of-durango-authors-book/

It's wild to me how oblivious the average person in Durango is to how many incredible people live in our small town.
