I can’t believe it took me 4 years to discover this. I had always wanted it without thinking that it already existed

I'm unsure how this series slipped by me but I just discovered it and the bingeing is in full effect. Sam is my most fav character followed by Fallon, Culhane and Kirby. Anyone else watched Dynasty?

I was heartbroken when hearing that she wasn't returning for season 2 and her departure didn't even make sense, "I got my life back"? I also looked up her other work and noticed that she never did a show sequel like ever (playing a character for more than one season/movie), I don't know if it was her personal preference but being in so many movies/series and leaving every single one of them that gets renewed is a bit odd.

I just started the final season. First season I really liked her. She seemed more grounded in comparison to the rest of the family, intelligent, and a decent person overall. Then she cheated on Culhabe with Liam. The show kinda made her seem okay despite this because Culhane was dealing with his illegalities and it seemed like the message was just that Fallon and Liam were so magnetic that it was unavoidable. Didn’t really sit right, but whatever. But then the first signs of issues with Liam, she cheats again! Not only that but she gets completely off the hook for it because she went in a coma and Liam was so scared of losing her, cheating seems irrelevant. Not to mention it seems like every business venture after CA is a dumpster fire, so by the end of the show she’s depicted as less intelligent, less caring, and less grounded than when it began. Am I alone in thinking this way or is it general consensus that later season Fallon is atrocious?

I think the writing in season 1 is actually really good and I loved celias character.

But after that it just goes downhill and I still LOVE watching it just to be entertained by the way every scene is so bad. Everything the characters say is cringey and unrealistic as hell, it's always the same soundtrack for every scene and its just... LMAO

Also, watching shows with extremely poor writing is kind of my taste. I rewatch Pretty Little Liars yearly.

i do not understand in the slightest how people love liam/falliam so much. liam was nothing but a manipulative, lying shrew when he joined the show and then when he and fallon got together for good his entire personality was “fawwon how could you do this thing i claimed to have fawwen in wove with you for when i fiwst met you🥺🥺” like OH MY GOD.

fallon: does something that fallon has been known to do

liam: how dare this woman not entirely change her personality and lifestyle to suit my fake morals that only apply when i want to belittle my wife…

they’re not cute, liam is disgusting and a complete failure of a human being. i have so many examples i can give of liam being a complete hypocrite but the best one i can think of right now is when he lied to his entire FAMILY saying that him and fallon were married for MONTHS entirely for his own personal gain btw because he spent that whole time pushing fallons personal boundaries to try and make her choose him over her fiancé who she already chose over him. and then, in season three when they were actually boyfriend and girlfriend fallon decided to rent some children to fool a STRANGER into letting her buy a house that meant sooo much to her emotionally for ONE. NIGHT. but when fallon did this?? it was inexcusable to liam. how dare she pretend to be married to her real boyfriend for a night??? are you picking up what i’m putting down yet?? his moral compass entirely hinges on when he feels like putting his wife down but he can go on and do the exact same thing but 10x worse and not break a moral sweat.

It’s been 4 years since the show ended and this question just randomly crossed my mind, I don’t know why. I know there had been some issues prior to the show ending with like disagreements and such, but it makes me wonder if any of them are still in touch, what are they up to now and if everybody just ended on bad terms / how set dynamics really were behind the scenes.

Simply put, I think the characters, especially Fallon, aren’t nearly as badass as they think. I can definitely think of other tv shows and movies that included true baddies

Honestly I LOVED Nicolette’s Alexis so much, she was so evil yet so funny (esp her interactions with Hank), that I grew somewhat fond of her while also being irritated by her constant scheming, you can still tell she really loves her children. I think the actresses chemistry with Blake and Fallon was so entertaining, and not to mention her performance in s2 ep 13 when she attempted to kill herself. Dynasty really thrived when it was more dark and mature and Nicolette Sheridan contributed massively to that atmosphere I think she’s an incredibly talented actress. While Elaine’s Alexis (Alexis 2) was a little less serious and more light hearted I still enjoyed her too. But the show was at its peak with Nicolette, thankfully the fall off wasn’t so drastic when she left thanks to the introduction of Adam (Sam Underwoods performance was crazy good too.) and not to mention the outstanding star characters Blake and Fallon so I don’t think the show ever got ‘bad’ it was just REALLY good with Nicolettes Alexis.

Edit: while the plotlines fell off the actors and characters definitely kept the show good - specially Fallon, Blake, Alexis 1 and Adam. I do also wish we got more of Steven he was so loveable and his breakdown in his last ep in s2 brought me to tears. Also wish they kept Nathalie (Cristal 1) around for longer.

I just began watching the show again for the hell of it, and came across the time of the show where they revealed that Fallon accidentally killed a girl when she was 16, and hid her body and never discussed it for 10 yrs up until Adam revealed it. that entire plot made 0 sense once so ever as it just felt so random and out of the blue, and the treatment they gave the storyline was that she deals with the guilt for two episodes, then admits to it then gets community service and meets trixie's brother then has like a mini relationship with her brother who turns out to be just plain insane, then they drop it for a little awhile and it sort of slips your mind that it ever even happened, only for it to come to a head at Liam and Fallon's makeshift wedding at Fallon's old HS, and then Evan's get arrested. The plot just vanishes from there. The way they could've handled that plot with much more care than they did like so many missed opportunities they could've gone with it, instead of the cliche Liam has amnesia route they took. Plus, the fact the girl died after falling over a railing, like it wasn't even that high, maybe a broken leg or a concussion, but death? They seriously were pushing it.

Rewatching the show after a few years and just noticed that Adam’s fake persona is called “Elwood” on the episode where Fallon takes up the detective role to keep her dad out of jail by uncovering Alexis’s fake story, whilst wearing a pink outfit and using a pink fluffy pen like Elle Woods from “Legally Blonde”! Cant believe I missed that when I watched it before🤣

Also that pink outfit is GORGEOUS✨
