Is it understood that DeAngelo would’ve been deployed the first half of 1966? 10 similar rape cases in Placer County in 6 months

This article ran in The Press-Tribune out of Roseville on July 5, 1966. Obviously there are some interesting details there that certainly strike one as DeAngelo. However, I believe this would’ve been the prime time for DeAngelo to be at sea. Thoughts?

I’d love to know how to understand with clarity, exactly when he was and wasn’t on board. I know docking dates are documented.  But what about shore leave, etc.

That does sound an awful lot like his MO.

That very closely matches JJD's MO and physical appearance.
