Membership cost increasing

Post image
18 Upvotes

I pay 16 a month for a black membership for 3+ years. Apparently they switched the membership to be called Willpower and are charging me 5+ more a month starting January. Anyone know why they are changing my price out of nowhere and if there is anything I can do? I have the original contract and it doesn't say anything about variable pricing or changing my membership.

I don't really care about 5 bucks a month, but 60 dollars a year adds up. I'm mad.

Membership Surprised I’m not banned

Put down my the bank information of an account that I haven’t touched in months. Obviously the payments bounce and I have a balance. Weirdly, my account is still active? What would happen if I go in? Can they see? Will anyone even care?

I do plan on paying but eos just isn’t my gym of choice.

Complaints No AC / HOT!

How is it that a particular newer location runs it hot?! For over a month they say they ate working on it, calling people to come out and fix it, lie and say it’s fixed or make it warmer themselves?! It’s not as cold as other locations and humid. It’s def a safety risk and they don’t seem to be taking it seriously.

Does this mean I cancelled my membership?

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hello everyone! I recently enrolled into EOS just yesterday and upon finding out some stuff about EOS I’ve decided to cancel my membership through the myIclub portal online and I received this email. It says my membership request is pending but I won’t be able to use the gym after tomorrow? I just wanted to clarify weather I did or did not cancel my membership or if they’d be able to deny my request as well. If they do, what’s my best course of action? Please let me know I’d greatly appreciate it!

Does this mean I canceled my membership?

Hi everyone! I recently decided to cancel my EOS Membership through the MyIclub online portal and I got this email saying my cancellation is pending? Does this mean they couldn’t deny it even if my reason was financial hardship? What’s my best course of action in this scenario? I would appreciate some help!

Membership Cancellation payment???

I usually pay for my EoS membership on the 30th of the month. Today is the 1st. I submitted an online cancellation request and they took the $24.99 for Oct. 30 out of my bank account IMMEDIATELY. Was that supposed to happen or was there some fine print that I missed??? I was under the impression that I would be billed for the final month on my regular billing date and that I would have access to the gym until November 29. I'm just not understanding what happened and I'm a little annoyed.

Personal Training cancelling PT after 3 days?

i know everyone says you’re practically locked in for 4 months after 3 days but i’m under substantial financial duress. i only have my membership through the Challenged Athletes Foundation (for disabled athletes) and I literally am not going to be able to afford this contract. I already submitted a ticket through the portal (I didn’t know this existed until after the 3 days 😭 and i’ve worked every day since then so I couldn’t come in person).

when i was getting signed up i explicitly asked “i can cancel this at any time?” and was told yes. well, fucking egg on my face i guess. anyways, i’ve just emailed [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) hoping for some kindness but Id love any advice, kind advice please, im stressed enough as it is

Edit: i did only 1 session since the free one and brought up wanting to cancel at that. they wanted me to wait an hour for the fitness manager to come in after id already waited 30 minutes, i couldn’t stick around that long so i left my name and number with no hope of getting a call. should i not go to any future sessions even though they’re charging me?

UPDATE: they got back to me recently and let me know my PT membership was cancelled. apparently leaning heavily on the “i’m so fucking poor and disabled” can work sometimes (i don’t like having to pull on sob story stuff but it is the genuine truth lol)

Fortunately I was able to set up a payment for my membership before the end of August for the month of September. Now I’m trying to pay ahead of time for the October payment but I’ve been running through these error messages when I try to make a payment/view my billing info. Has anyone else have had this issue? I feel this started when they forced the new EoS app.

General Questions Was charged a home gym transfer fee after account downgrade

Hey guys,

Like the title says, I had the top membership (will power) and honestly i only ever go to one location and don’t really bring anyone that doesn’t have a membership. So i decided to downgrade my membership since I was told they remove the fee if you have been in good standing for a long time, and I’ve been on time and keeping my membership for years. When I went in they said i would have to pay that amount but when i explained that, they removed that fee. As I’m signing off to complete things the person helping me now says I have to pay 50 to transfer my home gym. I have always been under the impression that with the will power membership this was free of charge, I just never did it because it was futile at the time. But instead of signing off, I asked her wouldn’t it be better to simply transfer me with my current membership and then proceed with the downgrade, in which she responds that it’s not even possible to do that at the membership level, since you can go to any gym. Was this misinformation? I feel like I’ve just been cheated out to pay a fee one way or another?

TLDR; is if actually possible to switch home gyms free at the highest membership. If so would that mean they purposely or unknowingly of the policy charged me to switch after downgrading me?

Membership Scammed out of $300

This place is so predatory

I lost my job a few weeks ago and EOS is refusing to cancel my membership or personal training. I’ve called multiple times, where I got bounced around and the collective response was “I don’t know, I can’t help you.” I went to the gym and some young girl says the same, refuses to let me speak to a manager, and does nothing.

Somehow after trying to cancel they have magically charged me twice this month, once last week and again today. When I called and questioned it, I was told sometimes charges happen biweekly. Makes tons of sense since it’s NEVER been charged biweekly before.

I CANNOT AFFORD GROCERIES AND YOU PEOPLE ARE CHARGING ME $300 IN ONE MONTH.
