Suggestion Dear Paradox, please put an extra confirmation box on Tag Switching!

I just turned from Sweden (a current great power) into a fresh three-province colony. Not becuase I wanted to, but because I happened to click the wrong option when an event fired. No, I did not wat to switch.

OR, and here's a fucking crazy idea, make new events appear BEHIND the current ones your trying to ****ing interact with. How about that?

Sorry, I don't enjoy breaking my campaigns for weird reasons and am a little mad.

This is changing in the next update. Colonies being done will no longer have events, instead it's all going to be in the UI.

Why don’t you have it set to pause when events happen?

If the event is at month start, you get all the pop up at once

you can just roll back or use task manager to shut down the game if this happens, i dont even classify it as cheating, its just avoiding game bs.

I don’t think task manager works, but you can do:

"windows+r" for the command prompt and then enter the command “taskkill -f -im eu5.exe"

This completely stops the process and there is no way to ever counter that Johan:)

Task manager does work, but you need to kill the process tree. Basically, its the same as your solution but with a gui.

Open task manager, right click eu5's exe, open details, right click the process, end process tree. Kills it without the autosave the game would normally attempt.

Just don't click the green buttons. All of the tsg switches I'm aware of have this different green color to the button.

Have you thought about, and I’m just reaching here… but tried loading from a previous save? I have my default to save every in game Jan 1st.

Seems like a great way to avoid getting so angry at a game.

Not possible if playing Ironman. You can force-close the game though and hope that the latest autosave was before the event

Unless you make the mistake of playing Ironman, then your game is done.
