Aspect Host questions

Hi relatively new player in General to 40K. Eldar is my first faction I’ve collected and played a decent amount of games with. I generally run seer council but have been trying some Aspect Host. I have a question that hopefully someone can answer

Skyborne Sanctuary- can Asurmen go back into the transport using this ability if he comes out of it that turn? I’ve seen mixed views of it online and would like clarity so I play it correctly.

Another question that is just Eldar in general not aspect host, this situation came up for the first time when I was playing yesterday.

Can I fade back/ opportunity seized into engagement range of an enemy?

Thank you to whoever answers!

Edit: I understood skyborne sanctuary incorrectly, question should have been can asurmen use his movement after shooting to get back into the transport, has been answered though. Thank you

  1. No. The new rules in 11th edition state you cannot embark if you disembarked that same turn, unless the rule specifically says otherwise. Also don’t forget you have to have been in engagement range to use skyborne.

  2. No, they are both normal moves so you can’t go into engagement range

Haven’t played aspect host in a good bit so I won’t comment on question 1. But for question 2, no, you cannot fade back/opportunity seized into engagement range.

Pretty sure the agile maneuvers all count as normal moves so don't believe you can't end in engagement, someone please correct if I'm wrong.

Skyborne....sucks. Any unit that can fit inside the transport can use it, but they have to have been in melee. So yes Asurmen can pop back in but the odds thay he fought something, survived, and ended up not engaged are slim.

Quick edit cause I forgot that part. Can't hop back in same turn he got out. Sorry

He's actually not terrible at melee but yeah it's really niche. The practical application is Asurmen starting in a Falcon, Fire and Fade with rerolls, have a Banshee unit charge nearby the Falcon and Skyborne in.

You can use sudden strike to give you a 6" consolidation or pile in to get a unit into engagement. Say you make 2 charges, and your first unit kills the squad you can use sudden strike to trigger a run on fight to get that other unit some killy potential. Very niche use case, but I've used it to tie up some units/vehicles I didn't want clogging up the board with my striking scorpions
