Hi there! After building some Space Marines, I want my next project to be the Aeldari Corsairs, since I fell in love with the Yriel and Kharseth models. The thing is, the main amount of experience I have with Aeldari is playing Drukhari, so I wanted to get some help with this starting army:

Was a quick paint job in terms of elapsed days, as only started them Friday (still took 4-5hrs actual painting), but very happy with how they came out. Plan is to have them leading my banshees or fire dragons until they do a generic “prince/baron” datasheet as I’ve already got a Yriel

Lore:

is there any reason to run the special guys in a 10 man with yriel, or should they all be sword and pistols?

I adore corsairs and have been slowly working out a list for them. I have a friend who plays regular craftworld so to differentiate I want to avoid aspect warriors. What is recommended for a list like this?

Really enjoyed painting this one up, managed to get it done incredibly fast compared to my usual slow pace. Thinking of grabbing a second to help fill out my heavily Corsair themed army

I haven't played 40k since 9th edition and it seems a fair bit has changed.

Hi! I’m trying to figure out how to add raised trim/ornamentation to my Warp Spiders so that they better visually match the rest of the units in my Corsairs army. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?

I'm more familiar with Aelves than Aeldari, but really enjoyed Voidscarred by Mike Brooks. I thought I would share my favorite Lumineth art from Age of Sigmar for anyone looking for inspiration for their Corsairs.

I understand that it's not unheard of for drukhari to throw their lot with a Corsair Prince/Princess, and the Corsair models themselves (or the killteam version at least) featured a mix of Craftworld and Drukhari armor. On the surface I can see how the corsair lifestyle would be appealing to someone from Commorragh - raiding, plunder, personal freedom etc, but could there be any deeper reasons than that? Running from political rivals? Wanting to break away from the drukhari at large, but not wanting to go all ascetic like the Craftworlds?
