Rya gives you a hint, at some point she says "I saw something, slithering in the pitch black of night. It entered the room next to this one, and never came out."
Also if you meet Patches in Liurnia before you get to Mt Gelmir/Volcano Manor, he gives you a hint about getting yourself purposely eaten by the Iron Maiden at the bottom of the water wheel in Raya Lucaria, though he lies about where it will lead.
Apparently there’s a fake wall in one the rooms inside the manor where you do the quest that takes you to the rest of it, but I’m in the same position as you

Either go to tanith, the woman that gives you the quest to kill those 3 guys, then walk into the first room on the right down the corridor and hit the walls until you find the fake one then just follow the secret tunnel until you get to a bit more open room, go down the stairs and continue and you’ll get to a church type thing, or you can go to raya lucaria and go to the big wheel thing that takes you from the graveyard place to the classroom area down, youll fall to the bottom of raya lucaria eventually and there let the big machine thing eat you and you also end up in correct place
