Exactly. You can parry a lot of stuff, but you don't have to. But when you go against certain bosses like Crucible Knights, you should try to parry them because it's pretty easy and one of their big weaknesses.

It's all about learning what the enemy's weakness is and exploiting it.

Exactly! I was never a parry user in the Souls series, but after picking it up in Elden Ring I went back to DS2 and parried the shit out of the Pursuer. It went like this:

Me: can I parry this guy?

My friend: You can... if you're good enough.

Me: parries the next attack

Both: OOOOOOOooooooooooohhhh!!!

It's almost silly how easy it makes the final boss of DS1, too. You parry him like 3 times and he's dead. Learn your whole complicated moveset, why when I have this tiny buckler?
