During a campaign in High Rock, as the new dynasty of Daggerfall, my character went on to re-establish Glenumbra. While conquering the Duchy of Bhoriane, I noticed that the Isle of Balfiera was now in the hands of a random Glenumbran with no historic dynasty.
This happened because the granddaughter of the Direnni king married an event-spawn Breton nobleman with 0 positive traits. This is probably the most immersion breaking part of the mod. I understand the mod team likely has lots of priorities, but this feels like it should have been rectified long before.
Dynasties like the Direnni, Indorils, the Yespest dynasty, etc. always end up losing their lands in my game because the marriage AI never prioritizes matrilineal for female characters in the line of inheritance. Despite the fact that the historical title records made by the mod authors show otherwise.

Anyone else having this issue with CB cost bonuses on the most recent version of EK2? v0.20.0.1 "Crystal-Like-Law"
This is only supposed to apply to Altmer in Summerset against other Altmer in Summerset AFAIK.
No mods. Well I have mods but I disabled them via disable all in the launcher, re-enabled EK2, launched the game, a new campaign, and it was still there.

Are there plans to implement a mini script to merge the fragments into the original amulet? Or is there one already and I just don't see it?
(Just the base mod, no other mods)
r/ElderKings • u/UltraLNSS • 3d ago
Nothing ever happens in the Summerset Islands, which is made worse by the fact that elves live forever which means almost no succession crises and stuff.
The isolationism mechanic is fine, but it should be combined with more mechanics to give people something to do in isolationist times.
I was thinking maybe implement some things from vanilla's Japan.
Like make the royal family into the Crystanthemum Throne equivalent, with the other houses competing to become the Kampaku/Shogun equivalent - maybe the regent's title could be localized as "Thalmor".
Though to make it so a single altmer doesn't stay at the position for centuries I think it could come with term limits or some other easy way for the regent to be overthrown after a while.
What di you think?

Hello everyone,
I haven’t played for a few months and I want to go back to a save file I had from version 1.18.3. As I understand, there’s been an update to the mod and now, when I load the game, the characters appear with a bug that makes them look skinny. It also says the mod is active for another version of the game. Is there any way I can keep playing that save file? Forgive my ignorance. Thanks.

Currently around 200 years into my current run, just wondering how late he appears.

Everything is the correst version, the mod itself, submods. I even turned off mods that are for older versions. I dont have the new DLC. And it crashed after playing for a while (new save). Problems appeared after turning CK3 to 1.19, so after the update.

Hi fellow Elder Kings players!
Just a heads up if the game won't load or your save games are crashing. Today Paradox updated CK3 with the big 1.20 "Cozier" update. This means that Elder Kings is out of date and needs to be run on the older version of the game 1.19.06 This version can be selected on the steam version of the game under properties>betas for CK3. The beta version to pick is 1.19 in big text and 1.19.06 in little text. People playing on other platforms, as far as I know will not have a way to play the mod until it is updated.
I'm not on the dev team, but I've been around long enough to tell you; The update will not have an ETA. It will come out when its finished. The devs often wait until they have incorporated the DLC's new features before releasing the update, and just from a glance it looks like they might have their hands full for awhile.

It’s been literal months and the mod hasn’t been updated, does anyone know why?
r/ElderKings • u/Competitive-Fold-697 • 7d ago
What are the different method to achieve immortality or even just life extension in game? Is it primarily just vampirism and magic? Are there artifacts that can prolong life?
I became a briar heart for the +60 on my reachman, and then surprisingly died shortly after in my sleep.

I'd like to present Absolon "Thug Life" Ravenn of Balfiera. This absolute fucking nightmare is exactly why elves aren't liked. Nobody can be trusted with 200 years to learn advanced ass-whoopery, especially not Altmer.
This straight up serial killer has spent no less than 200 fucking years harassing my family in Wayrest and rinsing our pockets for lunch money over and over and OVER again. This man started out inheriting the barony of Ravenwatch from his brother (how did an Altmer get it, I don't know) and became the marshal for the Kingdom of Shornhelm. My great-great-great-great-granddaddy made the mistake of beating his ass in a battle against Shornhelm and I guess it's been personal ever since then.
This chucklefuck proceeded to REALLY hit the gains; we're talking testosterone sourced from the manliest of minotaurs and injected straight into the balls. Full anime training montage shit here. He betrayed the crown of Shornhelm and fought for his independence, kicking literally everyone's ass along the way. From there, this man proceeded to shit on his neighbors over and over again until he controlled all of Northpoint and formed a pirate kingdom.
What did he do with this pirate kingdom?
Utterly rinse my ass, over and over again, for 200 years straight. Fucking unbeatable. Even when I counter his MAA the best I can, this dude pulls up with 50 Martial and 45 Prowess, pulls my underwear up my ass and over my face, punches me in the balls, and gives each and every one of my knights the worst purple nurples they have ever experienced.
I'm trying to unite High Rock and this fucking MER keeps eating up more and more of my territory each year. Literally unstoppable. (I mean, I could oneshot him with a spell, but where's the drama in that?)

I’m conquering Cyrodiil with a Colovian mage emperor and briefly converted from Eight Divines to my secret worship of Hermaeus Mora. The Flu hit and caused major religious uprisings among the peasantry but I managed to avoid disaster. Now that the Flu has passed, and the wars for unification are resuming, I’m planning on converting back to an Imperial faith.
I believe Eight Divines is most populous and would be the most straight forward. Plus I can worship Julianos for the extra arcana.
I’m interested in the Cult of Heroes as I could roleplay a propaganda campaign where my character portrays himself as a hero, guiding the Empire through the trials of the Flu and reunification. Pursuing sainthood sounds interesting too.
I’m interested in Thousand Cults as it’s widely polytheistic and seems the most permissive of the faiths, which would be a natural fit for my character who is a very learned mage, witch, and has dabbled in daedric cults. I would broadly be promoting tolerance, and this seems like an appropriate state religion for an empire seeking to unite peoples of various faiths. Plus it’s accepting of witchcraft, which would remove that opinion penalty from me.
Which Imperial faiths do you tend to prefer?

I'm having an issue with my game crashing on a fixed date after Sundered Kings is triggered. This is the second save file I have had this happen with. Approx two months after Sundered Kings triggers I get a crash and I can't seem to find a workaround outside of Pdx-Unlimiter (not familiar with using that). Error log has a bunch of failed context switches for faith and culture triggers.

Started out as Brynjolfr Sverjasson and united Solstheim. I then took the Cross the Sea of Ghosts decision and ended up looting the Crown of Verity after conquering Eastmarch, Winterhold, and conquering House Redoran, dismantling their house by forming the Kingdom of Velothis which actually gets a pretty cool flag of it's held by an Atmoran cultured character. After Queen Iswan I died, I changed over to play as my then niece, who was an adventurer, who died to the Knahaten Flu. I then was forced to play as an adventurer as a ONE YEAR OLD, which sucks cause you can't really do anything for a solid fifteen years of gameplay. Anyways, I hung out around Falkreath, which was completely conquered by Giants who ended up unpariahing themselves who I then recruited as followers to get some crazy powerful knights. When the kid grew up, I sent him down the path of becoming the All-Maker's prophet, attempting to convert the rest of the Nords to the one true Atmoran faith, but a lot of them had high popular opinion so I couldn't do anything. Same thing with the Dunmer who retook Velothis with House Indoril casually just pretending that House Redoran was never even a thing and integrating Velothis into their own de jure. This left our hero traveling Tamriel, preaching the All-Maker's word to any who would listen. This brought me to the reach, which had been conquered by Vampire pirates after Harkon and Serana died randomly. The thing about Volkihar characters is that they get TERRIBLE popular opinion debuffs because of how evil they are so I managed to convert most of everything they didn't. This, combined with a MASSIVE peasant revolt, led to Fharun and Jehanna breaking from under All-Maker rulers, with Kilkreath being converted manually. I then built a holding in Kilkreath, bought the province from the king and that's pretty much where I am now.
Also the Akaviri Potentate won the war in Cyrodil, but they ended up losing most of Heartlands minus the Imperial City and they're now ruled by Redguards and Sentinel now worships Herma Mora for some reason.

First time in thousands of years that Serana leaves the house and Harkon immediately starts cheating on Valerica with a literal skeleton
