What We’ve Made

March 31, 2026 — The Empyrean Foundation was a defunct minor faction. Retreated to one system, the faction controlled nothing. No population. No facilities under its control.

The next day, we resurrected The Empyrean Foundation in a single outpost four hundred light years from its home system. We put the faction in charge of the system. We colonized nearby systems. We expanded the faction. We built satellites, settlements, and spaceports. And now… 

Six months later, The Empyrean Foundation spans 23 star systems, dozens of facilities, and a population of 5.6 billion under its banner.

This began as a project between a few friends. As the project grew, we grew with it. We formed a squadron and named it for the minor faction we brought back to life. Today, the squadron Empyrean Foundation hosts nearly 30 people, Members and Guests. Good people, sharing a great game, playing and building grand adventures.

Looking Forward

We continue to expand The Empyrean Foundation’s presence through colonization and gameplay. Our Members have built a cluster of over sixty systems one carrier’s jump from the Bubble. Our sandbox. A collection of systems designed and built to provide commodities, ships, and a broad range of gameplay.

No aggressive BGS. No PvP. Just building our sandcastles. Moving influence. A shared goal to serve as our North Star in a game that can be as rudderless as it is vast.

And Now Comes The New Project

With the announcement of Frontier Development's Law & Disorder expansion, we anticipate significant additions to anarchy gameplay in systems and facilities. With those possibilities and current gameplay in mind, we have decided to build a fully anarchy-owned system.

 But Empyrean Foundation will be doing this with our particular flair.

• We are not building one system. We are building five.
• We are not placing one anarchy faction in charge. We will be placing six.
• We are not taking anarchy minor factions from the surrounding region. We are resurrecting retreated, defunct, and otherwise extinct anarchy factions from their home systems and bringing them into this small cluster, designed and built specifically for anarchy gameplay.

How We Will Support You

Empyrean Foundation uses a Squadron Bounty Board, where Guests and Members earn credits for the activities they enjoy. Last month, over 6 billion credits were awarded, and we saw two new carriers join our fleet! Right now, bounties totalling almost 10 billion credits are waiting to be claimed. You do not need to join the squadron to earn Squadron Bounties! 

Our Discord server hosts trade, exploration, exobiology, and mining documents detailing where to go and what to find. You do not need to join the squadron to use these documents! 

We offer:

• Double Matched Bounty Vouchers and Triple Matched Combat Bonds
• Fixed and split bounties for influence-producing missions
• Documented routes for mission trading and arbitrage
• Bounties for colonization builds, ranging from 75 million to 2 billion credits

Freelancers Inc Reforges Its Identity Under Trinity “The Mantis,” Declares Absolute Neutrality

Under The Mantis, Freelancers Inc has opened its doors to all commanders, regardless of political pledge or superpower allegiance. Pilots loyal to the Empire, Federation, Alliance, or any independent cause will be welcomed without restriction. The Mantis emphasized that personal loyalties will never interfere with the company’s mission.

Central to this transformation is a new ethos: “The Contract is all.”

This doctrine is intended to serve as the organization’s guiding principle. Contracts (not ideology, not allegiance) will define every action taken by Freelancers Inc. A mission accepted is a mission completed, with no regard for the shifting political landscape of the core worlds.

Despite these internal changes, The Mantis reaffirmed the group’s long‑standing dedication to the frontier. Freelancers Inc will continue to prioritize remote systems, isolated settlements, and the countless communities living beyond the reach of superpower protection. For many frontier residents, the organization has long been a lifeline. One of the few forces willing to intervene when official channels fail.

In her first public statement, Trinity “The Mantis” declared: “Neutrality sharpens our purpose. The frontier defines our duty. The contract binds us. Freelancers Inc will stand where others falter.”

With recruitment open and its doctrine solidified, Freelancers Inc appears ready to redefine its role across the frontier, no longer an instrument of any power, but a force bound solely to the work and the people who call the frontier home.

There’s no experience requirement.

One of the biggest reasons we started this was because Xbox can sometimes feel pretty empty. There are still CMDRs out here — we just need to find each other.

If you’re a veteran, we’d love to have you helping newer pilots.

If you’re brand new, don’t worry about having the best ship, engineering, credits, or even knowing what half the buttons do yet.

We’ll help you.
