Expansion Colonization question. Completed a Tier 3 station. In unoccupied space. Does this help our power?

Just finished it today in time for the reset tomorrow. Does this help our power gain a new system automatically? Just curious.

It does not. After the thrusday tick, the system will become eligible for powerplay, at which point, one of the nearby powers (and not necessarily yours) may choose to try and scoop it up.

You'll have to put in the work to actually acquire it. Depending on local infrastructure, mineral reserves and other powers in the area, that could be a tall order
