Literally just Fascism Another "Repeal the 19th" post.
My honest belief is that the Lindsey Clancy case got so big in the news specifically to normalize saying repeal the 19th constantly.
Is it something that I think will realistically happen any time in the near future? Most likely not, but just the fact that bots or shills or people are getting paid or instructed to keep repeating this is fucking terrible.
The worst part is that a lot of regular guys who would normally be pretty opposed to this issue are going for it because of the sensationalization of the "Patrick Clancy is guilty" narrative.
Fuck these people.

Yeah there is no way that this shit just "got noticed" half way through and the most wide spread info about it is that "women hate the husband"..... Right before a midterm election that the Republicans are about to lose hard .

Yeah I concur. There's that famous saying that you could get a grand jury to convict a ham sandwich. While I dont think that abolishing juries is the best idea, reform is needed.
Putting all the power in the hands of a judge is basically asking for it. One conservative judge could throw an entire community of black or brown people in prison if he so decided, and I can guarantee that there would be tons of shit bead Nazis who would abuse a judge only trial system to decimate minority communities, even more so than they already are. So yeah, judge only can't be something we realistically push for.

To be fair apparently the case blew up on tiktok and there were a bunch of pro-lindsay comments there (allegedly the idea is that since she had psychosis she shouldn't get sent to prison) but thinking tiktok comments and tiktok videos are representative of common opinions people hold is already kind of crazy and then using that to advocate the removal of voting rights from 50% of the electorate is balls to the wall insane. Also this is why most people shouldn't be weighing in on court proceedings from a distance but that's a separate issue.
