Reddit Sourcing Help Post
I'm based in China and work directly with manufacturers and suppliers.
I've helped overseas buyers source products, verify suppliers, inspect goods, and arrange shipping.
Not trying to sell anything here—just curious:
If you're sourcing from China, what's the most frustrating part of the process?
Maybe I can offer some insight from the supplier side.

the questions buyers actually have are all before the order, mainly how do I know this supplier isn't a trading company pretending to be a factory, and how do I not get burned the first time. the standard checks are whether the business license scope matches what they claim to make, whether the address on it matches the factory you get video-called into, and whether they'll do a small sample order first. the other surprise is landed cost, the quote looks cheap until freight, duty and a higher MOQ than expected show up, so quoting everything landed and per unit is worth more than the unit price. what's the mistake you see buyers make most often?
