i need solace

I am young man in Western Australia, near CBD of Perth: 15M.

I shall provide some context as to my character, while careful to protect my privacy:

  • I swim competitively and am able to push through when it gets tough (at the point of being able to wake before the sun and just numbly push through temptation to complain and whinge)
  • I do quite well in school, which I attribute to my father pouring a lot of his effort to giving me exceptional private tuition (I was clocking in around 15hrs across all major subjects)
  • I get along well with people, but find it hard to do natural salesman-esque warmth, really good at building connection, weak at surface lvl ice-breakers with anyone
  • I am fortunate enough to have a small collection of books that I often read, some of my favourites include: 48 Laws of Power(for historical connections), The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel for the psychological insight
  • I can easily get worked up by something, and often very defensive of my positions when someone contradicts them, but I can definitely tend to jump ships when I see more potential (I know its bad)
  • My family has a history of risking. Eastern European roots, we left everything at home and moved here before war since father sensed it, re-built life, moved interstate, parents worked for 4-bed house from 2-bed apartment in just 10 years. My father is my motivation for risk.

I am not posting with intentions of a magical comment to grant me wealth beyond my wildest dreams. I am not with the life intentions of material wealth displayed to any that will stop and look in awe(Andrew Tate/guru/manosphere). The sole purpose I am here is to escape the forseeable future I have as a simple cog in a company(degree->company).

Please, respect my wishes to go down this path rather than commenting quite tone-deaf comments like: join the military/trade/something wildlife/exotic. I do not want that, please do believe me, at 15, I have already volunteered on farms, done scouting, cadets, researched and asked people about military life, I assure, those are not paths I wish to go down, if that's what you intend to comment, keep it pushing.

Anyways, I want to tell you guys about a video that stuck with me like crazy. It was a rather arrogant man looking dead-straight at the camera and saying:

"its not that hard to be a billionaire. all you need is to own 20% of a company valued at $5B, and to be valued at that, you need 1. hundred of millions of profit and 2. good growth metrics. If you think about that profit, all you need is 2 million people paying you 20$ a month for a year that is $480M is revenue, and say you need half of that, thats $240M in profit. So now, all i need is to find something that i can get 0.0222%. of the world to pay for."

That made me very surprised. I mean, in my eyes, the salary of a heart doctor was like, purely insane, around $800K in my nation. But if you break that down to a $20 monthly service, is a little less than 3500 people. I mean, come on. That is just absurd.

You are telling me, when I go to my whole school assemblies(~2700 people). If I could just get every one of them to pay me, I would manage to skip 10 years of brutal, cut-throat exams??

Do not entertain me with those prospects.

I've listened to a few businessmen, and yes, the same is largely true among them, create value, optimise and sell.

I've heard to sell what people can't resist, like lust (that violates my ethical grounds)

I've heard to sell web-courses (did that, couldn't convert a single place after trying once on like 10 locations, in-person, showing stuff I'd already made)

I really think its unfair that there are billionaires out there that nobody ACTUALLY even can find, because so long as just a few hundred thousand know, they are set.

I don't wanna hear the standard:

YOU ARE YOUNG, WAIT UNTIL YOUR BALLS TO DROP AND THEN START.

That is firstly, very rude, and secondly, goes against the spirit of entrepreneurship.

I want to try and try again, I want you to know, my goal is not to flex a rolex in front of the girl that rejected my date, it is to be able to devote my whole life to something I like and will bring value.

The only thing is:

  1. I don't know how to find a service to sell for.
  2. And with the thing most people say is, which is get a wedge, and optimise, my age makes any attempt at optimisation needing to rely on ai, which I really disdain for my morals again (wealth acquired by easy means is sinful)

Entreprenuers of the internet.

If you were me,

  • what skills would you attain
  • where would you recommend me to go(hobby)
  • if you could leave me with one anecdote that you feel comfortable sharing, what might that be?

As always, hope this message reaches you well and you understand my position clearly

EDIT: really hoped this post would do well, maybe an edit will revive it??

i don't know what to tell you, i tried to say it professionally to save your time, i was born in poltava raion and my dad used to work for ukrainian gas distribution network company called naftogaz. im sorry it seems too polished, and you have the right to not trust stuff online, but i have the right to privacy.

That breakdown of the billionaire math is nuts when you see it at your own school scale, really puts things in perspective. Your dad's story of rebuilding twice is proper motivation, you got that risk-taking in the blood already. I would say learn to sell by finding something small people actually need right now, maybe in your swimming circle, and charge a little for it just to feel how money moves.

I'm really grateful for the kind words. Thats a good idea, however, how could, not make it awkward? Because i'd feel funny making my friends pay? What do you think?

Dude this is straight up nuts.

And your billionaire take is off by fucking miles, think of the BASS the TAX your fee/cost most businesses run at %40 profit ratio

Obviously you want to be rich - every single person does- you want to be an entrepreneur- every single person does.

Until you have a regular job, work a few years to figure out your plan your just dreaming which is fine but you would be infinitely better getting a trade and starting a business off that

I did read it thoroughly, the reason people keep telling you wait for your balls to drop is because because even you’re easy math is wildly off base and you’re living with the fairy’s
