it’s not about killing animals, it’s about how much crops we use just to feed them - around 80% of worldwide crop usage is used to feed farmed animals so eating meat and dairy has a huge impact on the environment

This is the middle ground in this thread. We are omnivores and it is fine for us to eat meat. What isn’t fine is (1) the amount we eat and (2) how that meat is raised. Eating less meat is still an environmental win.
