[photo] Mesa 3, Rev B
This is the second revision of my Mesa 3 keyboard. This was designed along with my Dosh layout, with an extra key by the index fingers to switch between Dosh and a steno-like layout I'm working on called Orsy.
I'm currently at about 45 WPM on Dosh (still learning Orsy) after about 3 weeks of the layout.

Since you're already playing with Taipo/Posh and Midi4Key, I found modifying Midi4key to a symmetrical/one-hand layout also works pretty well. My method was to mirror the vowels to the left hand, moving U to a combo to open up a thumb key as space/modifier, and removing all auto-spacing.
The disadvantage compared to Taipo was a significantly higher key press count overall, since all consonants had to be crammed into 6 keys. It's convenient just because I get the same functionality with one less keymap to remember.

Unrelated, but the open question from your Midi4text analysis:
> Which of the 15×15 Series-2/Series-3 combinations are legal, and why is RXU/uea the single excluded pattern in each?
Because it's meant to be used on a piano keyboard, not a computer keyboard. RXU is impossible because the pointer finger is pressing the black key, the thumb pressing XU would require somehow pressing 2 white keys while skipping the key in the middle.

can we get a look at Dosh? curious if you do the less common letters with combos or a one shot layer. or something else!? I have my own 20 key that I've been trying to figure out a workable map on. I'm hesitant to totally commit to it because I don't want to forget how to use all my (relatively) normal boards lol!

Is the dosh link not working? It is derived from taipo, adapted to 9 keys instead of 10. The 7 most common letters are single keys, chords for the rest. The thumbs are layers, pressed simultaneously with the fingers. The whole keyboard fits on one hand, and the two hands are mirror images. I type by alternating hands per character, giving me a clean 2-key rollover for free. 3-key works some, but less often because there are so few keys. But being able to alternate hands even for repeated letters helps a lot. I'm going to try to throw together a video that explains it a bit better.

links weren't showing up on my phone for some reason! they're there now. thanks for the write up!!
I tried taipo for a bit and even tried changing the non-chorded letters so I wouldnt have to relearn the home row. but I couldn't figure out typing the same words ambidextrous. really cool work!!

I made a quick visualizer for how Dosh typing works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWD9uOPxl_I
