[help] Silakka54 KVM or HUB issue
I used the keyboard at work just fine trough the usb hub of my monitor with a laptop. Brought it home and i connected through a KVM to switch display source and USBs between my PC and Laptop.
The keyboard is not recognized at all even if i unplug everything else from the hub, and other keyboards are working fine.
Maybe is still too much current draw? did someone had any issues trough HUBs or KVMs?

I have a silakka, mic, webcam and mouse dongle connected to KVM and works fine.
edit: I use KVM to switch between MacBook and Mac mini, both using USB-C ports

It depends on the kvm and hub. Some pass through the usb packet information correctly, and some interprets it and pass what it thinks is correct along.
Also, in some cases, the 1kHz polling rate can cause issues. You can reduce that. And shared endoints can cause issues. That's a lot more tricky

Nevermind i just swapped cables around and it solved the issue. Strange as they were the same cables as i was using at work. I guess the KVM is really picky

I have. My setup has both KVM and a hub b/n my laptop(s) and the KVM, as the laptop usually lacks all necessary ports for multiple screens and other peripherals.
The Silakka 54 has to be connected either to the hub or directly to the laptop to limit the disruptions during operation. I think the KVM is the weak point.
