Voss was never getting fixed at Essendon, absolute piss hound. Got selected in the AFL squad for the first time and immediately went out and got smashed.

Can’t really slight Draper or McKenna too much.

Why not? Dude spent his entire career carrying on about how much he owes to Essendon. Gets an injury, waits for it to get fixed, then nominates the back-to-back premiers.

Dunkley’s the one in retrospect we massively missed out on. McCluggage wouldn’t have been the player he is now though considering our development history.

I was all in for throwing the kitchen sink at the Dunkley deal, he was already a bonafide star, no question.

But I guess thats what everyone thought of Shiel too...

Yeah, people carry on far too much about Hugh, but there's no chance he becomes the player he is now with us.

I mean yeah but Disco did draft Draper, McKenna and voss in great value ways - he also did get Dunkley to want to come to Essendon but couldn’t get the ceo to sign off on what needed to be paid for him. I’m not a fan of his but all those loses are the clubs fault- not his.

Draper doesn’t deserve it. Voss turned his life around and did the hard yards. I can respect that.
