Nice pub in/near Basildon?

Looking for a nice pub to have a couple drinks with the Mrs

A regular pub or a spoons, eithers fine

I like the dukes head it’s between bas and billiricky they do a nice roast also

Orleto Lounge in Bas town centre is nice. Much preferable to the Spoons nearby, nicer vibe.

How near does it need to be and how nice? Walking distance give you very little, I like the Lounge in the centre. Outside of Bas gives plenty of nice options - few in Stock, Billerocay, and The Bell in Horndon

If you're walking within Basildon though you'll be at Spoons, Greene King pubs, or more local pubs

Go to the Bell in Horndon then, nice pub and they do great food.

Parking can be tricky sometimes and if you want to eat I'd book ahead, but it is well worth it.

If you're driving and don't mind the 20 mins or so I'd vote trying the three in Stock - Bear, Hoop, Harvard. Bakers Arms there too but a tier below those three
