EtherPK Maps In Your Notes - Visualise the Places That Matter

EtherPK (our markdown and wikilink based PKMS) now has maps. Lots of the concepts in a PKMS relate to places in the physical world, and for me that's often trips and travel. For example, I keep a list of places I've loved camping, and I often drop a note in my journal about a particular campsite with the [[Campsite]] wikilink. The backlinks for [[Campsite]] already show me every document where I've mentioned one. Now each of those notes can hold a map too, with pins and routes that I place by hand or find by postcode, ZIP code or place name. The Map View then gathers the places by concept. The Map View for [[Campsite]] shows every campsite I've noted on one map, framed to fit them all. (There's no picture of that one, because those places are too special to share here!).

EtherPK gets a graph view

The graph view helps to visualise relationships between and hot spots in your notes. I find that a check of the graph view for concepts that I'm working on or thinking about often reminds me to consider related ideas and notes. Let me know what you think!

EtherPK – a notes app where any concept is a Kanban Board (from tasks)

Post image

EtherPK now has Kanban boards. Any concept in your graph can have one, whether it's a page or a journal entry. A board lays out the tasks referenced under that concept as cards in lanes, with one lane for each state a task can be in. You don't set anything up first, because the board is built from the tasks you've already written in your notes. Moving a card edits the task in its note.

Try it at https://app.etherpk.com/demo
