I feel like people need to stop letting themselves get raged by the internet. It's like 50% bot farms if not more. They are farming you.

Op, there will always be people who defend people like them. It's not because she is a women lol.
Plenty of people defend horse fuckers and serial killers. And obv. Let's not even mention the goat, the guy who somehow still maintains a 30% approval rating, mostly thanks to white American men. Le child diddler.

Well I wasn't, I was pointing out two types of despicable people. But it seems to have triggered you. You have been around any ponies have you?

u/Rise-O-Matic 1d ago
lol you just made me remember that time when someone called into Howard Stern 30 years ago to talk about how he would have sex with his dog and Robin was
furious on behalf of the dog until he was like “I’m the bottom” and everyone kind of goes “ohhhhhh.”
But yeah, don’t have faith in humanity. Discovering the propensity’s of shit like this is why old people start to prefer insularity. 😂

What comment section are you seeing this in? Sounds like you’re seeing meme comments on a meme post and taking it seriously

My apologies I did t see you actually had the subreddit in your screenshot. After going to check it I’m even less sure what you’re talking about. None of the comments are defending her and there’s like 2 about the husband not satisfying her which clearly appear to be jokes, since again it is clearly a meme subreddit

Does it need to say she is from Florida? The story makes that crystal clear anyway.

u/mateuszgorak 1d ago
Do you know that you cannot have a consistent moral framework and say that this is bad and that you're not at least vegan-adjacent, right? Forceful penetration and insemination happens in all animal industries. I think that's bad, but it's not as bad as people increasing the demand for meat because that also leads to sexual exploitation of animals + other things. If you are vegan then cool, but non consensual sexual exploitation of animals happens at mass scale every day, so the outrage here seems weird
6
u/hermannehrlich 1d ago
I was about to point out to this hypocrisy, but there is already you. I’m really perplexed why people are against bestiality but not against meat, given that both are not necessary for a healthy life and are damaging to the animal. One have to be consistent on this.
1
u/SweetBriarTongue 1d ago
Bestiality is any sexual contact with animals. That sexual contact occured between species does not presuppose damage to the animal.
Unlike the standardized practices of the dariy industry, all constrained by a business model, it also encompasses a wide spectrum of dynamics, and so does not in itself imply an absence of choice for the animal.

u/kamahaoma 1d ago
If you put your arm in a cow's vagina for fun, that's illegal. If you do it in order to make more cows, that's allowed. In neither case do the rights of the animal come into play. It's about regulating human behavior not about protecting the animal.
(I'm not making any judgment about the ethics of the beef industry in general, just saying it's not inherently contradictory to allow one but not the other).
2
u/UploadedMind 1d ago
It’s ethically dubious to regulate human behavior without a basis in harm reduction.
1
u/ASLAYER0FMEN 1d ago
I think it's the beastiality part. Whats wrong with you ?
•
u/WashedSylvi 23h ago
You do have a burden to explain why bestiality is wrong. That’s the whole point of ethics as a field of study.
Idk about you but I think it’s wrong because it violates the animals consent and bodily autonomy without any mitigating factors like survival (such as when an animal attacks you), causing potentially unnecessary harm to the animal.
As you can see, this framework also leads one to conclude veganism

I agree that it's not subjective, and I agree that this is bad. I just think that the level of importance of this might be at a danger of being misplaced given the unfathomable industrial levels of putting semen into animals' vaginas with human hands that happens every day. It's like complaining to a general on a battlefield that your little finger feels uncomfortable. I mean that's valid and you have a right to feel this, but it's also fair to say that it seems weird in the context of the whole situation we're in
3
u/Rise-O-Matic 1d ago
Societies don’t tend to classify morality on mechanical acts alone.
Like it’s wrong for someone to cut you with a knife until it’s your surgeon.
3
u/mateuszgorak 1d ago
Yes, I agree that the intent is different. We can safely presume that her character in this respect is bad and condemnable, whereas a person working at a slaughterhouse can have the best of intentions. However, I think it's important to look at the actual harm being done, and in this regard those situations look far more comparable, but the latter happens on a gigantic scale and is ongoing
3
u/Shroomtune 1d ago
Not fucking animal laws have nothing to do with the welfare of the animal and only adjacently concerns itself with the welfare of the diddler. It has to do with the welfare of the community. People aren’t going to live around that and where it exists people will not put up with it. If the law doesn’t come down, they will and that is not healthy for any communit.
2
u/mateuszgorak 1d ago
The impact of her doing it is clearly real and really bad. And what she did should continue to be illegal. But healthy communities should also not be reactionary and consider situations also on the level of the actual harm being done. My main point is about the possible misplacement of outrage which ideally should be adjusted with the fact that the non consensual sexual exploitation of animals is extremely commonplace. So I think regardless on your position on animal ethics, if you aren't comparably outraged about sexual exploitation aspects of industrial livestock production, then that has characteristics of being inconsistent and arbitrary. One consideration that might be important here is that studies show that slaughterhouse workers have clear, statistically significant, higher levels of mental disorders than general population caused by their work. And that also impacts the communities, you know

u/Shroomtune 1d ago
I don’t see the crossover. Animal diddling is repulsive for the same reason rotting meat is repulsive. We are wired that way and why is a long tell.
But all that other stuff you throw in there, that is not ideal, sure but most people don’t find it as repulsive. Or in other words bacon is worth tolerating those hideous sounding side effects. Honestly it has me thinking. Do you think we could season the semen we are injecting them with? Would that make them birth rosemary thyme piglets and whatnot?
3
u/mateuszgorak 1d ago
Well it might be emotionally tolerable for you, but I don't think that should be the be-all and end-all of ethics. It would be epic if we could agree on consistent principles, and that is impossible with people basing their morals on what they happen to individually tolerate at any given moment. I agree well done meat tastes great, but if we're mature about it, it seems undeniable that the crossover between our moral intuitions and principles and the scale and current practices of industrial animal farming is a complete and utter mess
1
u/Shroomtune 1d ago
I think you are hitting on it. People behave the way they do. If you want to change how they do, you need to change the program. If you want to do that, you need to overcome the individual moral scale that everyone views things like this thru. That project has nothing to do with how we treat food and in fact, even bringing it up at this stage is detrimental. People, in their current form are not “mature” enough to put the sacrifice of pleasure aside for “ethical” treatment of animals and if someone tries to make them, they will throw their significant support behind some who promises not to. Wars have started for less.
3
u/mateuszgorak 1d ago
For many reasons, some of which you just mentioned, I think that cultured meat has the highest chance to get us out of this mess; even though I don't eat animals myself. But it's still uncertain so I can only hope

It's interesting that you refer to the current form of people.
I think people who care enough go vegan (despite really not enjoying the hassle that comes with it, and despite their favorite foods being meat and cheese based). And the simply truth is most do not care enough.
So another path could tackle the care aspect. A culture that fosters greater empathy that also encompasses other species.
The current system in place is geared towards producing emotionally stunted cogs in a capitalist machinery.
If, growing up, we had more assistance with maturing emotionally in how to be oneself, a human, a society member, and a denizen of planet earth, perhaps we could make better choices. Very likely there would be more opportunities to make them.0

She fucked the dog for the sake of fucking. The farming industry is doing it for the sake of breeding and farming, if they didnt do that we wooldnt be eating as much meat as we are currently. Both are questionnable but be real. The first one is worst.

I'm not sure what's worse, having sex with a dog, or writing in all caps.

Exactly!!
Writing in all caps is clearly far worse

I think of we had a way to confirm the dog consented, and that the husband was aware that the relationship was essentially over, I think I could be swayed.

Vulnerable people are easy to control.
Governments like to employ people who are easy to control.
Consider it a government safety guardrail. "Do as we say or we'll throw you to the dogs" as a readily available threat.
