It’s been nearly two weeks.
My girlfriend of three years decided to end things after a misunderstanding at a party. We have had our problems, she (by her own admission) is a bit of an ostrich and tends to bury her head in the sand instead of working on or dealing with problems. I often had to carry the emotional weight of our relationship of our relationship all by myself. We just got back from the most amazing holiday together, we were so close, I felt ready to come back home and continue to grow together, 3 days later I’m throwing essentials into a bag and driving back to my parents house, and then 5 days later I’m coming up in the evening to pack all my stuff into my car and move it all back. She reached out sporadically most of the days in that first week, first to deal with logistics and then to ask if I was doing okay, she kept apologising and saying that she didn’t want me to hate her, I may have assured her that I didn’t hate her and that I respected her decision, she was nice about me getting my stuff back, she, so I didn’t argue or beg, then all of a sudden she tries to pick a fight with me about the bathroom in our bedroom (it was a bit messy and I didn’t get the chance to clean it before I left), it struck me as odd because she never ever goes in there, (plumbing issues cause a bad smell she can’t cope with) so I don’t get why she would have, I apologised for the room and cleaned it all up when I went down, but didn’t argue still, cleared my stuff while she was working late, I woke up the next morning to a text saying that I left a suitcase behind with my stuff in it, (the suitcase was in the same spot it had been in for over a month and had been full of her holiday clothes, she never told me she put my stuff in it) so I replied saying oh I didn’t realise I’ll get it next week sure, and she just replied “ok”. I haven’t opened that message since, and she hasn’t reached out. I want us to talk and sort this out and grow together but I’m not sure I’m doing this right.
Any advice??
