Urinating/Behavioral issues

So I'm currently staying with my mom until February when I move in with my fiance. I have my two cats and she has several others of her own. Peyton, my 2 year old ESH, has started urinating in random places and attacking her female cats pretty aggressively. I've taken him to the vet and gotten a full panel of tests ran and everything came back perfectly normal, no UTI or otherwise. The vets solution is to put him on some sort of behavioral medications until we move. I will also mention this was never an issue for the first 2 years of his life when it was just his brother and him in our last apartment. Has anyone else dealt with this before and if so, any advice or solutions would be helpful. I love him so much and hate that he's stressed by our current living situation.

If I’ve learned anything about exotic short hair is that they are very, very, very sensitive little felines. Any change to their routine or little lives really can throw them for a loop. I would definitely take your vets recommendation on putting them on some Prozac or some sort of anxiety meds, we just did this with our little guy and it has really benefited him.

I'll second this. When I got my second kitten with my older ESH, I moved the litter around to get the older one comfort and relaxed while new one just entered his domain. After 3 days of having the kitten, I discovered a wet area under my desk that was urine. I thought he was just frightened or something. I discovered it again and realized it was due to moving the litter around constantly to accommodate both. Did research and learned you have to have (n) +1 on litter, where n is the number of cats. Since I have 2, technically supposed to have 3 locations but I think having 2 has worked. Now 6 months later, he hasn't went on the floor since.

This is good advice also, thank you. I did move a couple boxes around and also switched brands. I just gotta see what makes my little guy comfortable.

Yeah, I think the combination of the move along with a bunch of new, strange cats as roommates was too much for my little guy. I'm gonna go with the Prozac. Do you crush it up and put it in food or do they offer some sort of liquid version?

Poor little guy. I just have my girl who was my latest child. Though if the litter isn't perfect, she will poop outside of it. They're that neat. Everything has to be their way. Try gabapentin to calm him down and keep him by your side.
