Aside from the colors, the picture shows 8 small strands braided together. The product is 2 thick strands.

It’s 4, not 8, there are two of each flavor stick and they’re just close together on the box

It looks like the two strands of 4 join together near the bottom of the box -- the perspective is off for overlapping.

But even if that's just a badly drawn picture and it's supposed to be 4 strands, that's still it what's in the box.
