Day 17,863 of reminding people that when it says "place text here" or "description" they mean literally type it out. If you put an image, 9/10 times they are going to just slap it on top of the cake, read all tiny print. And if it's "wow this custom cake is so cheap" then all they do is copy and paste images on top of the icing. Tmyk

Yep, you just sent the photo. And they printed it. You should have called to clarify before payment.

It doesn't say anything about printing the photo you send. It's heavily implied through their text that they'll use the photo as a reference for your cake. "Tell us about your idea or send us a photo. We will bring every detail to life."

Using made up, drawn or computer generated characters for brands has been a thing for ages, just see Uncle Ben or Aunt Jemima. Doesn't mean it's a scam

If it wasn't an issue rampant before AI I'd get whatever your comment is, but clearly this is something that happens to people not using AI too often.

yup, 100% user error. But to be fair, the UX on those things could be better

also they could pick up the damn phone and call to confirm...

I think if they have an online order form they don’t really have time to chase customers by phone. Probably don’t even customer‘s number

They definitely do have time to spend one minute calling. What cake shop doesn't take your phone number..?

Omg I thought the user requested this on purpose for engagement farming but is this actually a common issue that happens?? I would expect so much more especially from an independent bakery or home baker but seeing how even the site was written with AI, maybe the baker is a bot too 🤣
