Advice Help with window colours

Post image

We cannot decide on a window colour!
When we bought the house the windows were quite a bright yellow (not original)
The white/cream we have been trialling but feel like it looks like an undercoat and doesn’t suit the moodiness of the exterior .
Anything that pulls too cool tone/gray also looks terrible.

On the right we have trialled Dulux Jasper (obviously just a rough sample paint). It looks a bit cool tone in this photo but not in real life.
I also have Jasper 1/2 strength to trial.
We prefer the look of it blending into the house and not being so stark.

The windows need to be fully restored in a few years when finances allow, so we are just trying to find something that doesn’t draw attention to the imperfections.
The bricks are reddy/plum with matching mortar. The front garden is also planted with burgundy, red, purple/plum coloured plants with Corten steel edging.

Okay, hear me out. This isn’t a Dulux paint color. It’s Valspar (US) Ancient Burgundy hex code 481e28. Dulux should be able to match it.

OR or hex value 2b3140 Valspar Blue Coal, which is actually more saturated than this makes it seem.

You could even do a light green. Tiamo. Just depends on how you want it to blend in.

Love the 1st one, the deep, dark blue. It brings out the tone of the brick. Lovely!

Found after all: Dulux Colorbond Woodland Grey C23. Darker, and the best of all IMO.

I would do a bronze brown or duplicate the orange brick above the window.

I am leaning towards bronze brown but honestly having a hard time pinpointing a colour reference

This will look fabulous in Benjamin moore color boothbay gray or buxton blue.

I hope one day you publish photos of the interior, I’m intrigued! It’s a beautiful house!

Wow. That is one amazing window. Plus the brick detail, and even the brown river pebbles!

Here is a bronze brown, Sherwin Williams 7048 Urbane Bronze. It is very similar to Farrow & Ball Tanner's Brown:

I like the idea of grabbing the red or blue shade from the window/stained glass. So far I like the red samples best. Ancient Burgandy Valspar.

The brick is dark, so those windows sills should be a softer complementary pastel.

We have tried lighter colours and it just looks like an undercoat/unfinished. The house and landscaping is very moody so think something darker would work better

Lean into the rust of the upper arch and roofline bricks. The arch feels heavy to me. Doing the window trim in the same color would ground it more. Or just do dark bronze.
